Shelley, WA 6148

Coming here from another big city I had to get used to the aircraft noise that is intrusive although Shelley is 12 km from the airport things are changing now as the flightpath will be led over industrial areas by mid 2015. The proximity to the river where we take our kayaks and the 20 minute ride into Perths CBD without traffic jams there even in rush hour makes this the best place I have ever lived !

Do not come if you have bad sleep. The noise from international airlines is just overwhelming. Other than that, it is a rather great suburb.

Probably the best Investment. People demolishing old beautiful homes and building one very attractive mansions to compliment neighbourhood of very posh Suburbs in the River front.
Excellent schools, many ways to go to CBD, by car or train, close to Fremantle not far from beautiful Kalamunda hills. Beautiful parks, kids and pets friendly, lovely for bicycle riders. Tennis club Corinthian Park is exceptional, many other sports are around to satisfy anybody needs. Comparing freely by distance and style with Suburbs of Mt Pleasant, Applecross & Rossmoyne.

Looking at the suburb from Neutral point of view comin from Sydney... I think Shelley will have further potential to grow in the future.. Even further than Rossmoyne.

We lived in Shelley for two years (while building elsewhere) and it was a great place to live. A nice stroll to the river foreshore for fish and chips is fantasic on a balmy summers evening and something we really miss, plus being able to go for a walk/jog along the river front is great. Friendly neighbourhood, local kids footy and netball clubs, couple of small but good shopping complexes in the area (Shelley Hub and Rossmoyne) which have all you need Chinese, Thai, pizza, Fish and Chips, coffeeshop/restaurant, liquor stores, Super IGA all available, pizza. Lots of families- good primary schools and top High School in Rossmoyne. Only slight downfall is it is does take a while on a bus if you are catching it to Perth or you have to park and ride to Murdoch for train.
So great spot but comes with a price tag to match - although prices have stablised in more recent times.

There are heaps of trees,birds and not much noise. The local shops are great and include newsagent,butcher,chemist,hairdresser ,2 restuarants and IGA[ and of course bottle shop. The blocks are big so privacy is not an issue. There is no through traffic so the roads are quiet and safe for the kids. River is lovely so getting exercise is not an issue. All over great place to live. Most people that live here will never shift away!!!!

Awesome love it there will move back there again, good for Family`s. Nice and quiet,safe beautiful shoreline. Big houses, Big blocks. Great people. Everything you could want.
