"Still in the 70's, but the change has started"
Moved here from the South Eastern suburbs, love the people, love the street. To be honest the street is still inhabited with 2nd or even 3rd generation families which brings a great community feel, however the area is really starting to attract younger families due to what I say is affordability (still expensive for a patch of grass, but heaps cheaper than 8km from the city in the South Est). Not a great deal of traffic, does however connect to Francis street which is a busy truck route, this will change though as they are about to commence the Western distributor so in 5 years Francis street will be truck free. Its located an easy stroll to dog friendly Cruickshank park and other sporting fields, Butcher 128 is great place to get breaky, lunch or just a coffee.
My partner and love this street and to be honest it mainly comes down to our neighbors. The only negative thing (not for all though) is 25min walk to the village / train station (there is a bus route on Stanger st) but with Wembley ave for the butchers, bottle shop or even Mishra's Indian (amazing food) and even a the bowls club for a quite Sunday beer just a quick walk away why would I need to go to the Village. What can I say say we love it here and would not want to live anywhere else.
