I have lived in Brighton east all my life and I have to say it's perfect. It's a great place for families live. It has some of the best schools in the state. It's close to Hampton, church and bay street which have some of the most delicious eateries and high end stores. It's got many parks too many to count but the most note able one is Dendy park it's huge great for walking and every year the council hosts "carols in the park" where local performers perform and the night is ended with fireworks. The neighbors all know each other and will always go out of their way to help make your life easier. It's crazy close to Brighton and Hampton beach. It's a pretty affluent place that's a little bit cheaper than Brighton. The people who live here are mostly families with kids, elderly people who have bought there home back when the suburb was established back in the 50s , the wealthy and minor celebrities. It's a typical suburban neighborhood nothing ever out of the ordinary.

Brighton East starts on the eastern side of Hampton Street, Brighton and continues across Nepean Highway.
Each pocket of Brighton East - beach side of Nepean Highway and east side of Nepean Highway has it's own merit and there are so many beautiful Parks to enjoy. Beach side you have Dendy park which is huge - people love taking their dogs for walks there - you will see many runners and there are tennis courts here as well. There is the Brighton Golf Course which is a nice course and there are a few streets which back on to the Golf Course and Dendy park offering homeowners fabulous green leafy views. Take a look at Glencairn Avenue and Comer Street, and Sunlight Crescent to name a few. Over Nepean Highway you can enjoy Landcox Park which is so pretty and Gardenvale Primary is very popular amongst the local community. It's still close to all of Brighton's amenities and home prices are little more affordable to Brighton. It's a lovely suburb for families.

Great ecosystem with access to beach, city, golf, parks and more. Green and open bayside always do a good job with roads and events like Dendy Park Carols! Nice and quiet with all the amenities.

I've lived here for over 8 years. We know most of the people in the street, they are pretty friendly bunch. Its a great area for bringing up a family and I feel safe walking the dog at night. There is zip in the way of nightlife, however its close to Brighton which has a few pubs and bars.
