Mornington’s relaxed lifestyle, all cafe charm without city bustle, is a major drawcard for families loyal to the area and people enjoying a post-work leisure lifestyle. Just an hour from the city, Mornington is a large, effervescent seaside village, brimming with that feel-good vibe that comes from amazing sea views, award-winning restaurants and a gentle, family-friendly way of life. The suburb has long been popular with retirees, downsizers and others looking for low-maintenance properties that are positioned close to the shops, cafes and medical centres. It has a nice main street with lots to do, the beach and is not too far out for traffic. Mount Eliza and Mount Martha are lovely too.

Just off the blue-chip border of Brighton. The beachside of Brighton East is an exclusive pocket bordering Hampton St within popular school zones perfect for family living. The famous Brighton bathing boxes are bayside icons and the beach itself is a great draw card. Plenty of leafy streets and parks such as Dendy Park which is one of Victoria's 10 largest parks and Brighton Public Golf Course. A desirable and unique suburb.

With its own “Royal” yacht club and a history of privileged bayside living that stretches back more than 120 years, Brighton is often a match for Toorak prices at the top end of the market. Any suburb with its own “Golden Mile” has to be a very attractive place to live, but the high prices and grand homes are only a fraction of the Brighton attraction. Some of Melbourne’s most prestigious private schools can be found here. The suburb has its’ own golf course (of course) and the Brighton shopping village is a tourist attraction in its own right. Though it’s hard to find an original Californian Bungalow that hasn’t been elevated to something finer in one way or another. Average prices in Brighton East are lower than those in Brighton. Be warned though, there is nothing “average” about this suburb and that applies very particularly to the price of real estate.
