"Good but a lot of dated areas"

I definitely see the appeal for a lot of people with pacific fair and the casino. But past that the main streets are truly just a little dated and under need for renovation. Perhaps some time and this will once again return as a gem.

"Foodie Heaven"

Love Love Loved living in Broadbeach. Walk to fantastic restaurants, bars, casino, shops and great parks. The beach strip here is beautiful and not as crowded as Surfers Paradise. So many festivals etc held here too including the Blues on Broadbeach which is 4 days of music, wine and fun!
If you love eating out the list is endless: Moo Moo's, Maggie Chow, Koi, Georges, Valentinos, Marios not to mention the Oracle's offerings...
Great lifestyle, entertainment and Pacific Fair is fantastic since the renovations...

"Broadie Has it All!"

Broadbeach has come of age and it has everything the beach, the park, the waterways, the casino, the restaurants and of course amazing Pacific Fair.

The little sister to Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach is one of the most convenient suburbs on the Gold Coast with shopping and the beach at your doorstep.

Broadbeach or Broadie to locals, is located in the heart of the Gold Coast, sandwiched by the ocean and canal waterways. The suburb is defined by dining and retail tailored to soaking up the maximum tourist dollar while managing to maintain a friendly family vibe.

Apartments comprise 96.9 per cent of the Broadbeach property market and more than 50 per cent of those are rented according to corelogic figures.

The transient population is entertained by the bells and whistles of Jupiters Gold Coast, the official partner of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

A new six-star, 17 storey all-suite hotel tower part of an overall $345 million redevelopment will open at the front of the existing hotel in the countdown to the Games. The casino, Queenslands first, is connected to Broadbeach Malls Oasis Shopping Centre via a monorail. Oasis is earmarked for a makeover in the near future.

Meanwhile the transformation of the much larger Pacific Fair shopping Centre, which sits by the southern end of the Gold Coast light rail line, has further added value to the area.

The council has flagged Broadbeach for a pre-games lift. Broadbeach Mall will e redesigned with a 12m wide pedestrian bridge to Kurrawa Park and a proposed each deck built specifically for entertaining Games guests and officials. The existing Kurrawa Surf Lifesaving Club will be replaced by a new club building 500m south.

Broadbeach is really a unique urban precinct offering more than 300 retail outlets and is a tourist mecca for families.

It certainly has the edge and caters to everyone.

"Great Lifestyle - Beautiful Beaches - Great Restaurants"

It has the best the Gold Coast has to offer in terms of proximity to the best shopping, restaurants, night life, beaches, casino, universities as it is right in the hub of the Gold Coast.

You can reside in apartment living over looking the beach, in a small apartment block, a luxurious villa, or a home either on the waterways or a nice dry block, Broadbeach caters for all lifestyles.

It is more sophisticated than Surfers Paradise and is embraced by the locals of the Gold Coast as it is away from the main tourist strip yet provides a great night life and more refined atmosphere.

If you are coming to the Gold Coast, Broadbeach is a must to visit.

"Very Trendy"

I think Broadbeach has expanded so much in recent years and is very classy with easy access to the Casino. The only down point I can think of would be the drunked itiods that roam the streets at night and tourists causing havic on their mopeds.

Great life style if you love the beach.

"I JUST LOVE BROADBEACH"

I JUST LOVE COSMOPOLITAN BROADBEACH.
I have visited Broadbeach for our family holiday for the past 3 years and just love the relaxed atmosphere and ambience of the place. The beach is just so beautiful and the sand . . . well you just don't get soft silky sand like that at Victorian beaches.
I have 2 children ages 7 & 10 and they love WET & WILD and MOVIEWORLD. Yes it's tiring walking along the theme parks all day but the enjoyment on your kids faces makes it worthwhile.
My parents came with us last year and they too loved BROADBEACH. There are shows to see, a new dining experience each night (if you want) and most importantly GREAT COFFEE.
You have to experience KOI CAFE on a Sunday afternoon (Cnr of Albert Ave) - it is worth going just to watch the show. Amazing singers interacting with the patrons - it's all great fun and very entertaining.
Try to book your stay in Albert Ave as it is right in the hub and everything is within walking distance of your room - a big convenience you'll appreciate.
I will go back because there is always something different to do and my kids keep hounding me to take them back again and again.

Sorry Surfers Paradise but as the previous writer pointed out "Once you've found BROADBEACH you'll never go back to Surfers".

"Great atmosphere, as well as safe and relaxing"

Broadbeach could easily be described as the perfect beachside place to live or visit. The people are so friendly and helpful. There is an abundance of cafes, restaurants, shops and facilities. It is also across the road from the casino whereby there are live shows and bands if you want further entertainment. Broadbeach has a wide walking path right along the beach and there is gym equipment all the way along the path for you to use. The beach is wide and long with lots of flags and surf patrols. You don't have to be in the ocean to enjoy it. It is just wonderful to look at it and be around it. Broadbeach has a real fitness vibe about it. People seem to be active and enjoy walking along the beach.
If you stay in the heart of broadbeach, you don't need a car or taxi. You can walk around to everything, like you can in Europe. There is no way you would go to Surfers once you have found Broadbeach.
This is the only place I have been to whereby teenagers to young adults to parents and older people all mix so well and respectfully and are all catered for.
On Christmas Eve after dinner, we walked over to the casino and there was a fantastic band playing. And what stood out was that all age groups were mixing, were dancing on the dance floor and having a great time. The band was sensational and was for free. There were all ages on the dance floor and you don't see this in many places. The young people were really well mannered whilst having a wonderful time and totally respectful for older people.
I would highly recommend this place to visit or live.

"A great sophisticated place to reside for 30's plus as everything is here!! No need for car!!"

Broadbeach would be the only suburb I know in the World that one can safely walk metres to major shopping centres, casino, gold coast convention centre, golden beaches, surf club, alfresco dining, parks, supermarkets, medical facilities....residents rarely have to leave the area. Also best access to the Hwy down Hooker Blvd which beats the once hub of Main Beach. More sophisticated living & proud residents.
