"Community spirit and room to grow"

I have lived in Donnybrook's Olivine estate developed by Mirvac for two years. Initially, as with any new estate, amenities were minimal. We now have the Murnong Community Centre opening in a week's time, along with established Hume Grammar, Donnybrook Primary School, and the very popular Shared Cup Cafe, set next to the fabulous Gumnut Park playground. Regarding block size, there is a choice based on one's budget. Anything from 350 sq ft to your 600 sq ft corner blocks. There is a well-established and very active community group that organises events and encourages community participation and socialisation. I have lived in many areas around Greater Melbourne, and the neighbours I have now are the best I have ever had. Amazing wildlife, kangaroos, parrots, magpies and even had a wedge-tailed eagle visit a few months back. There is some crime, but I have seen worse in other places I lived.

Coles supermarket will be built in the next two years in a sizable town centre with 40 specialty stores, and it will be next to the community centre.

Traffic is an issue, especially if you need to use the Hume Freeway. The state government is upgrading the road, though it may take some time. More information on the Big Build website. We do have the V/line at Donnybrook station, Craigieburn and Mernda are a 15–20-minute drive away if you need a metro.

It isn't perfect yet, but it will be amazing once the rest of the amenities come in.

Statistically, Donnybrook is no less safe than any other suburb, in fact less crime due to the relatively lower population compared to inner suburbs. In 99% of casesBreak-ins involving cars and homes that occurred have been due to not locking. In the area there are neighborhood watch groups on WhatsApp where people report issues for everyone's awareness, and the community looks out for one another. I have lived in the Olivine estate in Donnybrook for two years.

"Beautiful suburb"

This area is safe, peaceful and has all the facilities for young professionals, including access to high speed internet and parks to play with your dog.

I would recommend this area mainly for people who are in fields such as technology or finance where you can work from home.

Donnybrook V/Line goes to southern cross station. There is also convenient freeway travel going direct to the Melbourne CBD.

People are generally nice here, and encourage a comfortable lifestyle. I spent the time to write a proper review to show my appreciation for everyone in Donnybrook.

Overall a great place to live with good air quality and no light pollution so you can see the stars at night.

"Next Million dollar suburb with all amenities"

Donnybrook is a new suburb that is blooming with facilities and shopping centres all around in the local neighbourhood. Walking distance is the heart of Donnybrook with having great sporting and recreational plans. The area has a nice scenic walking route. Very well planned estate by prestigious Stockland group. It will have cricket stadium for bigbash. All the train facilities are being revamped to up the game. It has got many primary schools planned and also the best private schools.

Stockland prestigious!! No way is it the next million dollar suburb. Be better off in Doreen if you want a new build suburb. Characterless and poor quality housing.

Terrible area, poor quality houses, no infrastructure, traffic is a nightmare, block sizes are small - was glad to sell, like living in the desert.
