Reviews of Eglinton, WA
"Could Allara be one of the best developments in the country?"
Coming from a Sydney resident, this place feels like heaven on earth and it's still quite affordable, however, it's still developing so keep that in mind.
The pros:
1- Safe, peaceful & quiet
2- Amazing beach vibes with multiple beaches all within a 10-minute drive! the closest is only 3mins away!
3- Great developments and projects are coming soon with Alkimos Central close by and Eglinton district centre planned but no one knows when!
4- Eglinton station is opening within a few weeks/months of writing this review which is great! The highway extension is complete which makes the drive to Perth CBD in less than 40mins!
The cons:
1- It's a new slowwww development so don't expect too many amenities within walking distance immediately
2- 3 Schools are planned and none have even started construction for a 7-year-old development. This is unacceptable in my opinion. A new primary school is being built nearby close to Alkimos so can't complain too much but would have loved to see it built in Allara first
3- The land developers are amazing but greedy and slow, new land releases are increasing by 10k-20k in two months! purposely hiking up the price and making the development go slower than anticipated!
Overall one of the best developments I have seen!

"Gorgeous beach suburb"
Love it up here. Yes, it's 45 mins from the city but what a beautiful beach! Quiet suburb with good neighbours and the flying fox park is wonderful. The fitness stations at the oval and enclosed doggy park are great and get well used. Everywhere seems to be looked after well at this stage, hopefully it will continue. The freeway and trains are due in 2021 but we're loving the peace and quiet up here for the moment.

"beautiful spot up north"
Have lived here for over a year now, the area is rapidly developing. Amberton beach is beautiful, fabulous parks and a lovely new beach cafe/bar. It is a drive from the city but so worth it when you get here. Good value for money for new houses. Friendly with free fitness in the park and a great enclosed doggy park. I can't fault it apart from the dreaded roadworks currently. Once the train station is in and the freeway to Romeo road ( both due by end 2021 I think), it will be hard to beat.

"An area of future development?"
Eglinton is a generally unpopulated area in the northern suburbs of Perth, bounded by Alkimos at the southern end and Yanchep/two Rocks in the northern areas. It extends inland almost to the Mitchell freeway and is about 40 km from the Perth CBD. This area is flagged for development as a Satellite city of Perth in much the same way as Joondalup was developed. Development of land has begun with some estates being made ready for housing. The area is expected to house up to 55000 people and be self seufficient with its own hospital, commercial and retail sector.
Hi Tiaa,
Should have noted that it wasn't a real rating - just an information based post with stars filled in half way to keep the computer happy! I think it will be great when it develops - a bit closer to the beach than Joondalup, so will offer a great opportunity to live in a town centre type area with beac access.
Just wondering why you gave it such a low rating?
It hasn't developed yet and I can see it being a wonderful place to live.
