"Convenient, quiet, great walkability and sense of community."

Been here over a year and we live happily without a car. We walk to everything we need. Good shopping, restaurants and beautiful Hyde Park. Mount Lawley is 15 minutes walk away and Highgate the same. Lots of birds chirping away in the many trees and people stop to have a chat and share lemons. A good place to live for a young family, an elder couple or anyone who works in the city and would prefer to walk, cycle or scoot to work.

"Vibrant inner suburb with great cafes, parks and a diverse demographic"

There is so much to love about North Perth. There are multiple cafe strips nearby or within - Leederville, Beautfort St, Angove St and the Mt Hawthorn hub. There are great amenities such as a shopping centre, beautiful parks, Beatty Park Aquatic Centre.
The area is serviced by heaps of bus routes making it easy to get around. Public art abounds and the diverse demographic means you could be living next door to an Italian nonna, a professional couple, a young family or anything in-between.

"Love North Perth - great suburb for all different kind sof people"

What a great hub of activity wrapped up in a leafy green, friendly neighbourhood that welcomes everyone - great diversity nestled directly between the thriving cafe strips of Leederville, Highgategate, Mt Howthorn and Mt Lawley, all within a 15 minute walk and then it has its very own cafe strip in Angove strip which is getting even better each year.

"Great for families (especially when Mum and Dad dont want to give up the coffee culture!)"

Great primary school, daycare and high school. Our kids have been through them all here with very positive experiences. And great place for adults with all the cafes and walking distance to work in the city (or a 6 minute bus ride).

"A Delightful Blend of Traditional and Modern"

I have lived in North Perth for 20 years. This is a very dynamic and terrific area with lovingly restored character homes and trendy apartments and townhouses. With attractive green leafy streets the area is well suited to walks to the numerous cafes, restaurants, supermarket, hairdressers, and Organic on Charles. Keeping fit and healthy is a breeze with Beatty Park Pool within walking distance. North Perth is well suited to couples, retirees and families with children. There are child friendly parks catering to recreation and sporting interests as well as primary schools and pre-primary centres. Professionals also service the area: doctors and dentists. The scheme water tastes fine and is a huge improvement over the treated ground water in the northern suburbs. Vincent Council is friendly and attends promptly to any inquiries or complaints. My mobile and Internet service has never been interrupted. Numerous Transperth bus services on both Scarborough Beach Road and Charles Street makes transport very convenient. Bordering Leederville, Mt Hawthorn and Mt Lawley makes retail therapy in North Perth a joy !!

"Convenient but Overrated"

North Perth is lovely and close to the city and well served by public transport. There are a few cute shops along Fitzgerald St, and some great cafes along Angove St. There are plenty of parks and some gorgeous charcter houses. But there are way too many barking dogs, the tap water tastes gross and ADSL2 port availability is limited if you are on the Mt Hawthorn exchange so internet access is hideously slow.
