Strathpine, QLD 4500

We are two young professionals with a small family. Since moving to Strathpine we have loved the area with lots of coffee shops/parks and easy access to the city with the train. I think at this stage its still abit of a hidden gem.

I moved to Strathpine to be closer to my sons school Pine Rivers special school we were fortunate to find a new place in a new area that’s developing it’s walking distance to the mall lovely parks and has a nice range on shops food places and medical practices near by absolute love living in this area it’s quiet and neighbours are friendly.

Love living here, convenient in all senses, safe

We moved to Strathpine in March 2019 and my experience staying here is fantastic.
The best thing about Strathpine is accessibility to all the must have things such as:
1) Medical facilities.
2) Pine river park - One of the best parks.
3) Shopping Mall.
4) Three Railway stations nearby - Strathpine station, Bray park station and Bald hills station.
5) Private and State school.

Safety wise - This is one of the safest suburbs and safer for kids too.

With 'Meadows' and 'David Deane' building many new houses Strathpine has many options for people who want to opt for brand new houses.

My wife and I purchased a Strathpine home on a whim, not knowing a great deal about the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane. Initially drawn to the architecture of a 1970's home (with enormous potential) on a securely fenced, 800 + sqm block backing onto acres of green parkland - our experience to date has been extremely positive.

Strathpine and surrounding suburbs are very well serviced; the quality of fresh produce from the Lawnton Markets and neighbouring Warbuton Butcher is topnotch. Should supermarkets be more your jam, the Strathpine Centre offers Coles, Woolworths and Aldi...also a parade of Brisbane's finest fashion choices. Special mention to the IGA at the bottom of Bells Pocket Road for their great range and always friendly service.

For the home renovator, there are 2 Bunnings options (Lawnton & Brendale), Lawnton Landscaping Supplies and the Brendale Brewing Co for a delicious selection of beers (the Essential Industry Hazy IPA is a cracker).

While the suburb is best described as working class, the streets are quiet, the neighbours friendly yet respectful and the area feels very safe. Occasionally, the serenity is disrupted by the knocking exhaust note of a blue VT Commodore ute - if you are reading this slow down, you peanut.

Outside of peak hours, Brisneyland CBD is just 40 minutes by car, the area is also very well serviced by rail. Strathpine is a short drive to the bayside suburbs of Brighton and Shorncliffe, and under an hour to the southern end of the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Possibly the jewel in Strathpine's crown is her green spaces. Pine Rivers Park is lovely as is Rob Akers Reserve, home to a small koala population, Saturday morning roller derby and the Pine Rivers Swans (AFL).

In summary, very happy to have purchased a home in Strathpine. While still affordable, the suburb is a wonderful opportunity for first home buyers and young families to enter the Brisbane real estate market - there are some lovely streets. And with continued development, improving infrastructure and the University of Queensland expanding their Moreton Bay campus, there is enormous potential for future growth.

My wife, 2 dogs, cat, 3 chickens and I highly recommend considering Strathpine.

There are two train stations near by, gardens and park, schools, high schools near to the industries and corporate offices, Westfield mall as well as some good restaurants and eatries. Family friendly suburb.

Strahtpine has everything one need for a great living.. Shopping mall, Medical facilities, Railway station, Vegetable shops, Fish market....Very convenient, safe suburb.
The Pine river park is the best park based near to Strathpine.

public transport is great, lots of facilities and not much crime really.

We bought our first home in Strathpine on Oct 2017 so just over a year we have been here now and we absolutely love it. Our neighbours are lovely and the street is quiet. It’s a great area for families and first home buyers. We won’t be going anywhere for a while. There is great coffee at Cafe Two 14 which is located in the Strathpine center and also great coffee at Silky Oak which is in a super convenient location on Gympie road and the staff are lovely too. There’s the Warbys butchers up the road and Aussie seafood house and Country markets if you prefer not to shop at Coles etc. everything is in a great location and close by. Genisis Gym is close by and is massive with a pool up the road too. We go for a walk every night and I have never felt unsafe in the area. Theres also the pine rivers park which is huge and is a big hit when the nephews come over, again it’s really close. Oh and not to forget the all you can eat buffet at Jaylianos!
It’s a great choice for first home buyers or people wanting bang for your buck as it’s affordable but not too far from the city/ sunny coast.

Good locality. Secure and all amenities present within close distance. Great for young couples and families.
