Looking for advice on quiet coastal area, family with a young child emigrating from UK

Hi, really hoping to get some idea's on where to look to emigrate to from the UK.
We have 1 child, currently age 3 nearly 4, probably age 5/6 by the time we move, and want to live in a quiet area close to the coast. My Husband is a Roofer & I'm a Welfare Worker but I also work as an animal care assistant over here.
We want to be somewhere with great schools nearby, a safe family orientated environment. Obviously we need somewhere that we can get work too. We would be renting property first, We want to live somewhere that's not too expensive to rent & eventually buy property.
Had looked at Brisbane & Cairns, both look quite built up & "big city"
We want to be on the Sunshine Coast & really hope to get some suggestions please?! Many thanks in advance!

I would recommend Hervey Bay in Queensland. That's about 1 1/2 hr drive north of Sunshine Coast. Real Estate prices here relatively low compared to further south. Great weather, 55000 people so not too big. Not a high crime area. Good shopping centre and medical facilities.

Hi, thanks for the reply, Hervey Bay does sound nice & accom is not too highly priced. My concern would be availability of work there, so I'll need to look into that.
