Sunshine Coast midges. What are the worst areas?

I stayed in Twin Waters for two weeks. I loved the area but the midges were unbearable, I couldn't even go for a walk and I was bitten inside the house. I've always had a problem with attracting mozzies and was prepared but not for the midges. If I was to consider other areas to live permanently where should I stay away from. The areas of interest to me are: Tewantin, Noosa, Coolum, Kings Beach, Caloundra.
