Thomas Street, Wollongong, NSW 2500

Quiet one-way street within 2 minute walk of the CBD. The street has only light traffic with a couple of small apartment blocks in the street, one that is in a battle-axe block (3 Thomas St) and set well back from the street. I lived in 3 Thomas Street from 2005 till 2008 and only left due to a move interstate. I could see the ocean from my bedroom (top floor) and loved being in walking distance to EVERYTHING! I didn't own a car so this was a big plus and very convenient for me. I would have bought if I could but realestate is difficult to find in this area so I had to rent (though the rent is quite high to its central location). Being on top of the hill meant it always received the ocean breeze during summer and it's not built out in the area so you don't feel particularly crammed in like other areas. I was to move back to the area Id definately look to buy in either North 'Gong (near the beach) or Thomas Street being so close to the CBD (yet quiet)
