Looking for a home in Wentworth Street?
Well looking on a map I guess I can see why this may be a concern, but in reality it is quite a distance away from these roads/highways, there is next to no noise from surrounding roads, it is quite peaceful to live on Wentworth Street. There is definitely no 'low frequency hum' at all.
I totally agree we moved from Adelaide and stayed with my husbands paretns until we could buy a house, we moved into our first home, a small weatherboard cottage and then when it was time to find something bigger we found our second house, also on Wentworth Street. I didn't want to live anywhere else. I know a lot of people on the streets I would have to say everyone I have met is lovely and South Hobart as a whole is a thriving community, a great place to be.
We also don't experience any noise, we are located behind the hospital and find it very quiet and relaxing. We definitely don't get any noise from Huon Road or the Outlet, and not much from Macquarie either. We have two local grocery stores, a cake shop, a few cafes, some lovely gift and antique shops, a post office, hairdresser, restaurants, petrol station, many parks and a fabulous playground, a good bus service to the city, a soccer oval, a few churches, florist, newsagency, butcher, and I'm sure I've forgotten a few things.
It seems you're quite close to Huon Road and the Southern outlet; is there really no traffic noise at all, no low frequency hum from the highways?
