Reviews of Alexandra Street, Greensborough

"Fantastic street and neighbours"

Great street. Nice and wide. Quiet - not much traffic. Neighbours so friendly. Nice size blocks. So close to the train, bus stop and shopping centre, and even better when new development is complete making the gym/pool closer. Can walk to restaurants and shops in less than 10 minutes. Two or three minutes to drive to Greensborough shopping centre or supermarkets.
Lots of established trees, and blossoms down the street look fantastic when they are out.

"Had a calling to move here, great street, quiet and plenty of friendly neighbours."

We rent, and for some reason I was attracted to Alexandra St, and just had to rent the place here. Well moved here over 1 yr ago and I have loved living here, not only is it close to everything, its always reasonably quiet..apart from Para Rd.
The funny thing about living in Alexandra St, is that 4 months after we moved here, I received a letter from my gran to say that my great grandfather had actually built 4 houses on Alexandra St and lived in a house around the corner.

"A great street for the next stage of our life"

We moved to Alexandra street four years ago from East Bentleigh. Before we brought the house I spend a lot of time walking up and down the street just to see what the houses where like and more important the neighbours. We lived in a nice street in East Bentleigh but we never knew our neighbours. I knew straight away this was the street for us and after being here for over four years i was proven right we have great neighbours and when ever someone needs something you only need to ask. It is a quiet street for traffic because you are not able to enter the street from Para Road. We have Greensborough shopping centre right next to us and the train station down the end of the road were we often walk to, on the weekend to go to the football, we also have the swimming pool around the corner. There is also a major development for the shopping centre and the swimming pool starting this year. Both my children attend Loyola College in Grimshaw street which is no doubt the best school in the area.So I highly recomend this street to anyone who is thinking about moving into the area. The only problem is you might find it very hard to find a property in this street because no one wants to move out.

"Great place to live, all the benefits of inner city living with none of the negatives"

Alexandra st is located in the older part of Greensborough it has many fine older homes and is considered by many to be the best st in Greensborough, this is reflected by the fact that many people live their entire lifetime in the street, once you move in you really don't want to leave. The people are freindly without living in your pocket, the shopping center, resturants, cinemas, schools, pool and not to mention trains and buses are all within walking distance. What isn't within walking distance is a very short drive away and they don't call Greensborough "Green" for nothing we really do have all the benefits of inner city living with none of the negatives great street for young families, teenagers, young couples, and even the elderly- yes, this is is the diverse mix of people that live on our street!

Gday afrojo, I live over the other side of Greensborough in a new area and I must agree it's a great suburb! Do you hear the trains much in your street? It looks pretty close on the map.
