"Gorgeous homes but little to do"

Great for family’s but not much to do. A handful of shops and restaurants. I feel there is better options for this price point and proximity to the beaches on the GC.

"Handy to everywhere but could do with some public transport"

Family friendly, quiet, great schools, great golf and only 10 mins to major shopping at Pacific Fair or Robina Town Centre. Could do with some local night spots and there isn’t much public transport but a pretty, green and fabulous affordable suburb

"Nice Green Quite Suburb"

Its a nice hilly viewy green leafy quite suburb and has that upmarket feel. people are friendly but the Pacific Hwy is noisy and the Trains are noisy if you live nearby but there is not many trains going pass. It has its local small shops and a doctor, chemist etc. It is 7 minutes to Nerang Shopping Centre and Malls which Carrara does not have a Super Market. It has a Golf and Tennis club and its 25-30 minutes to the beach it can be 20 minutes but I include parking the car which can be hard in the City of Gold Coast. Its also close to Ashmore shops and industrial district, The Tradesman in the City of the Gold Coast have a touchy personality maybe because they are a bit wealthy and get lazy and want to constantly go to the beach and relax or go surfing or they are in stiff competition with other tradesmen or the work is not big enough and can refuse to get back to you with a quote or walk off the job but want payment for the part job they have done for you so I prefer to employ a local tradesman from Carrara who is a local and does not want to get a bad name.

Great for

  • Golf Course Club and Tennis Club.
  • Metricon Stadium
  • Close to Ashmore Industrial District.
  • Fast Access to Pacific Motorway
  • Neighbourly Spirit
  • Clean and green

Not great for

  • Close to Beaches

Harcourts Broadbeach - Mermaid Waters

"Great Community, close to M1 but quiet"

Home of Metricon Stadium, and also a new Sports Precinct is being developed for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Access to Nerang-Broadbeach Road which will take you straight to Broadbeach and Broadbeach Waters. Minutes to the M1, plenty of shops located in nearby suburb Nerang and the M1 will take you either up to Westfield Helensvale, or further south to Robina Town Centre - Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is also a short drive. The Nerang Train Station is no more than 10 minutes away, and lots of access to bus stops.
There are also plenty of schools - Worongary State Primary, Emmanual College, All Saints Anglican, Merrimac Primary & High School.
Great for families, great for everyone!

"A Nice Leafy Suburb"

Carrara is a nice leafy suburb that is suited to people that do not want to live right in the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast, however, still have adequate access to these areas. This is a friendly neighborhood including people of all ages. It is a nice ares to go for walks and bring the dog along. Most of the property in this area is of good standards and residents gardens are well maintained. Carrara is within very close proximity to the M1 Motorway for the purpose of travelling North and South, although traffic noise on the motorway can be very noisy if you live on one of the nearby streets. I have noticed in the particular street that I live in, a lot of the residents have particularly loud cars and they happen to drive ridiculously fast which creates a lot of unnecessary noise. Depending on which part of Carrara you live, It can be a long distance to amenities i.e. petrol stations and supermarkets, although Nerang and Broadbeach are not too far away. Carrara overall is a nice suburb and there is a very strong neighborly spirit in the area making this a friendly and welcoming suburb.

Great for

  • Clean and green
  • Fast Access to Pacific Motorway
  • Great Parks
  • Neighbourly Spirit

Not great for

  • Lacking in some amenities
  • Extreme traffic noise in some parts
  • Speeding
  • Traffic Works as soon as you get on M1

"Break-ins"

We've had 2 break-ins last year alone. It's really not that safe. Perhaps it's due to the mixed income in the neighbourhood.

"Best suburb on the Gold Coast ?"

Is this possiblly the best suburb on the Gold Coast ? With very easy access to the M1 expressway the suburb is generally broken into pockets or estates. This good idea reduces the amount of local traffic in your individual estate. The suburb itself has a good number of golf courses scattered throughout which adds value and has an abundance of public transport that brings the local to the large shopping centres (including Pacific Fair and Carrara Markets) with ease. A leafy suburb only 11 minutes drive to some of the most exciting places in Australia - Surfers Paradise - Gold Coast Beaches - the best Theme Parks and the friendliest people in Australia. Go there now and see for yourself, dont foget to catch up with me to show you around.

"Absolutely gorgeous place to live - Emerald Lakes"

Just bought an apartment in Emerald Lakes, it's absolutely gorgeous. At first I thought Cararra is kind of in the middle of no where, but after moved here for a few months, I find this location to be very convenient. Going to Surfers and Broadbeach is really easy and convenient. I have a dog and I especially love that Emerald Lakes is pet friendly. Walking by the lake everyday with my dog and meeting lots of other dogs is just one thing that I absolutely love.

It's also quiet and secure. 24 hours security and cameras everywhere in the estate. Great resturants and more coming up. It's just great. :)

"THE PERFECT POCKET"

I have to say that I am very happy at choosing to live in Boonooroo Park. I do admit I didn’t like the name to start with but now after living there for some years I am very pleased. The estate has on two entrances/exits which reduces the unwanted traffic to generally residents only. This makes the estate very quiet and peaceful.

Since moving there the neighbours have been exceptionally friendly and happy to help with any situation. Local shops can provide the immediate needs for Sunday mornings or the odd thing you forget like the milk newspapers or bread.

Resale value in the suburb continues to grow and as I drive around each week I see more and more people doing gardening and renovation on their properties. The locals are very proud of their homes in Boonooroo Park which adds to the character and charm of the area.

Only minutes from the best shopping in Australia, Carrara and Boonooroo Park can offer the access to the M1 expressway and is a direct run to Brisbane CBD. 10 – 12 minute drive down Nielsen Road and then to Nerang/Broadbeach Road to the famous Gold Coast Markets in Carrara. Pacific Fair (one of Australia’s biggest shopping centres) is just and 4 minutes past the markets and right next door to Jupiter’s Casino, and the fabulous Broadbeach area.

If you get the opportunity to buy in Carrara and Boonooroo Park don’t hesitate, you wont be disappointed by the location or the lovely lifestyle.

Good news for the Dog owners in Boonooroo Park and surrounding areas, the GCCC have now put in a dog water fountain in the dog park. This is so helpful to the locals bringing their dogs down to play letting them get a drink. Hope to see you all down there, i will be walking my dogue de bordeaux "BUBO".

"Has everything at your fingertips."

We have built our home in Carrara and have found it to have everything needed within the district. With the beaches, CBC and Casino only 15 mins away, many schools, shopping centres and golf courses nearby, Carrara has it all. The access to the M1 is handy as is the rail system with quick and easy transit to Brisbane.

"Boonooroo Park - Lived there for many years"

I raised my children in Alison Road and we all agree we loved living there. The area is so close to everything (schools, shops, the highway to Brisbane going north and Coolangatta going south), yet is was quiet and private in a way because there are 'no through roads' once you drive into Boonooroo Park. It's leafy and lovely with well established gardens. It was 15 minutes to the beach and Pacific Fair and public transport just steps from our home.
