Reviews of Chatham Street, Footscray

"How Good and Cheap is Footscary to live in?"

Cannot believe more people do not rent in this area!
Renting is dead money, so if you HAVE to rent, why pay someone else's huge mortgage off for them? Catch a property that is low in rent, has the neighbour as your security (believe me, it's still an area where people have lived for YEARS and feels like a country town!

Chatham street has few houses in it because on one side it is mostly the backyards of Macpherson street! Plenty of parking, quiet as it is not a 'through' road and few people use it! Yet you are in the middle of public transport going either way!

Close to supermarket on Ballarat Road, pubs and Hopkins street for the best Vietnamese soup in town! (It's a lesser know street than Victoria st in Collingwood and is much cheaper!) Indian, Thai and many good little eateries that all will love.

10 minute walk to Charles street Seddon, 20 mins to Ballarat street in Yarraville.
Choice of 3 train stations
5 minute walk to Vic Uni, walk 5 minutes the other way and you are at the home of Western Bulldogs.
Walk down, tram or bus to Highpoint Shopping centre.
More Primary and Secondary Schools than you can poke a stick at!!!

And you will be everybody's best mate at Spring Carnival time!!!
If you can't buy in this area (still affordable) at least rent and pay much less rent than one suburb away.

All good in this street!
