Reviews of Eastpark Waters, Helensvale
"Quiet street, comprised of quality property"
Have lived in this street since it was first developed in 2001. The homes are well maintained, spacious, and of good quality. Most homes are lots with a frontage of around 20m, with lot size of over 700 square metres. Robert Dalley Park is a large parkland providing ample open green space.
Monterey Keys is a quiet neighbourhood within Helensvale, and I have never had issues about going for walks at night. The recent opening of Hope Island Marketplace has provided the Monterey Keys and Oyster Cove neighbourhoods with a good selection of restaurants, and supermarkets within a short bike ride, or 2-3km drive away.
Demand has been strong for quality properties in the area, and it is a tightly held area, with the overwhelming majority of residents living in the area for over 10 years.

"Helensvale hit hard by financial crisis"
I know Helensvale has had some of the highest number of mortgagee in possesion for suburbs in all of Australia. Now when you think about how hard some parts of the western suburbs were hit by the global meltdown why has Helensvale been hit so hard?
I believe the area has been over valued for some time and asking prices dont reflect reasonable prices in order for buyers to grab a bargain. Having said that there may still be a few mortgagee sales and maybe now people are very desperate.
