Reviews of Liddelow Road, Banjup

"Banjup - Perth's best kept secret location"

Banjup's Liddelow Road is set in the golden triangle of Perth's best kept secret location. Coming off Armadale road it is a capital growth goldmine as the infrastructure that they are building for us here (Bunnings just arrived!) is so exciting!!!!

There is nowhere else in Perth that you can be on 5 acres this close to the City (18 mins from CBD!), Fremantle (20 mins!), the beach (15 mins!) or the hills (15 mins!). I am waiting until the people of Perth cotton on to the fact that with the freeway, new train access and the building of a 4 stage shopping complex touted as one of the biggest in the southern hemisphere, that this place has 5 acre privacy and 100% access to everything!!!

Accessibility is unparallelled and some properties are on tranquil grounds with horse paddocks, wildlife and stunning gardens.

While driving around some of the growing number of million dollar luxury properties you would be forgiven for thinking you are in Margaret River, however, Banjup is only 4 minutes drive from Cockburn train station and Kwinana freeway, Atwell shops and the stores at South Central and 5 minutes from the large Gateway shopping centre. It is 15 minutes to the coast and 17 minutes to Perth City straight up the freeway. Perth airport is only 25 minutes away, again a dream run straight up the highways.

Banjup truly is a country sanctuary in the city where you get the best of all worlds. Visitors often refer to it as a piece of paradise and are amazed by both its convenience and peaceful seclusion.

Banjup is easily accessible by train or bus. Both service the area and depart on a regular basis. It takes approximately 15 minutes to arrive at Perth CBD by train. Buses take slightly longer 25 minutes. Trains can also take you to you straight to Mandurah with its canals and rivers. The Domestic and International Airports can be accessed from Tonkin Highway approximately 25 minutes drive away.

We get to ride our horses, walk through the bush, see birdlife we have never seen other than on holidays in the country (oh we're in the country...but its a Perth suburb) walk down the drive to clear your head and find that a minute later you're still walking down the drive...Children's parties are a blast - we had 30 kids jumping in the pool, running around an acre of grassed lawns and playing with the horses!

I have to admit being the city slicker that it took me a few months to adjust to the country feel of living in Banjup. It was a strange feeling though because the city was so close yet I felt in the country - it was actually a Perth suburb but I had to get used to living with lots of space around me. A few months in I wasn't sure if I could do a 1/4 acre again. You never know.

Banjup has plenty of activities and attractions not far away, some of which are:

- Art and Craft tea houses
- Adventure World
- Wineries and Vineyards
- Serpentine Buddhist Monastery
- Champion Lakes Water Park
- Cafes
- Cohunu Koala park
- Armadale Reptile and Wildlife Centre
- Elizabethan Village
- Araluen Nursery & Garden Tea Room
- Araluen Golf Resort
- Araluen Botanic park
- Horse Riding
- Camel Riding
- Shopping Markets

I think this is the new Margaret River, holiday living in the country but so close to the city. From an investment point of view we think we're sitting on a gold mine! Come check out Perth's closest country suburb!

Great review - Didn't realise Banjup was so close! With all that growth I agree it looks like an investment goldmine.
