Little Bay is a beautiful family friendly suburb. The suburb features multiple beaches, national parks, cafes and restaurants.

The demographic of this suburbs feature young couples, growing families and downsizer buyers looking for a relaxed coastal lifestyle.

Having been in and around the Little Bay area since 2012, it sure has come a long way in that time. The area feels more like a holiday destination with its friendly community, the beach only a short walk away and some amazing golf courses surrounding its boundaries. The local eateries have increased over the last few years and the quality is really good.
Little Bay feels apart of the eastern suburbs however; it doesn't. It still feels like that little hidden gem of Sydney which no one knows about (that's changed a lot of the last few years though).

Little Bay has come a great way. Since I moved into the suburbs 3 years ago, it has become a great little restaurant hub. Great Italian, Asian, Greek and our own amazing Wine and Tapas restaurant. It is great trying the various options. Our favourite is the Wine and Tapas restaurant Little Lily's which has amazing cocktails, great wine list and a large selection of craft beers. The owners and the staff are extremely friendly and my wife and I love to visit this place.

Little bay has a great beach which is very shallow and safe for kids and has all the necessary amenities: doctor, dentist, supermarket, dry cleaner, chemist, liquor shop and news agent. You really don't need to leave the suburb.

Little Bay has it all: great neighbourhood schools, low poverty and violent-crime rates, and a six-figure median household income ($AUD109,933). Residents can access the Sydney CBD in just 17 minutes, or escape the bustle of the big city at the Bay's many Golf courses. A very safe environment for your kids to grow. Very friendly neighbours and literally a resort like feel to the area. I have been living here for 3 years and cannot even imagine living anywhere else in Sydney now. If you like space, you'll LOVE Little Bay.

Coming from western suburbs and moving here all I have to say is what a great decision😀 great people peaceful so close to the city and beaches. Eveytime I come home I feel like I'm on a holiday. I truly believe this is the greatest suburb in sydney. Oh yea def the cleanest suburb they really look after the area

quiet, community focused, surrounded by beaches, national park and golf clubs, and still in Randwick city.

Just moved here from Randwick. Worlds away from the hustle and bustle for just 10 mins extra drive to city. Bought a home 4 - 5 times larger than Randwick for same price, yet minutes walk to beaches, golf clubs, nice cafes. Love it!

I love Little Bay -best place to live,close to airport ,city by bus and the buzz of Randwick escpiaclly the 5 ways and Ritz cinema.
The only negative is the housing commision units nearby which need to be sold off for private housing.If you pay 1/2 million for a one bedroom unit you do not want housing commision units nearby.

With another child on the way we needed more room and less neighborly noise. It was either another Bondi unit with an extra third bedroom or a delpilated semi & I still had concerns whether that would satisfy the brief. Then we noticed the peaceful suburb of Little Bay. Lucky for us we did not have a strict criteria in regard to location or standard of presentation, we are the Gen-Y mid twenty type, but not the spoilt or fussy kind - we were flexible & opened minded.
We found a new 4 bedroom home for under the $1mil mark (incl. stamp duty). Best decision we ever made and I am now a changed man. I don't know how or why we tolerated the traffic every morning, the overly crowded almost parkingless shopping centres, the neighbours who all seemed to have an agenda to prove or the public transport that always took longer than on foot. Versus the Bondi/Waverley area, Yes, in Little Bay the drive to the shops maybe further but travel time is definatley shorter (traffic lights are a rarity here still), the neighbors actually care for one another & the kids are still able to play on the streets. Reminds me of the Suburb Bronte that I grew up in before the boom - simple, peaceful & with 'plenty of room to move'

Little Bay impressed us when we started looking into purchasing our property here.
It offers many great things for family, singles, couples and retirees. Admittedly, we are attracted to the area for its wrap-around oceanfronts; fantastic golf courses; open spaces; public parks and sport fields; secluded beach; peace & quietness; cleanliness; heritage buildings and the close proximity to the vibrant surroundings such as Coogee; Maroubra and Randwick.
Living here you will enjoy the privacy, peace and quiet of Little Bay while you won't be so far away from many fancy restaurants and retail shops. For family with chidlren, primary; secondary and University of New South Wales are within 10 minutes drive down the road.
In addition, Sydney Central Business Districts; Bondi Junction and Northern Suburbs are also within reach from Little Bay.

Moving to Little Bay from Double Bay has been the smartest move that I have ever made. For anyone not knowing anything about Little Bay, this place is the last piece of Sydney Eastern Suburbs left that is affordable for both rental and buying. It is surrounded by ocean, quiet beaches, nature parks and golf courses.
Living at Little Bay is like living in a millionairs oasis.
I suppose I am silly writing this review but the more people I can inform about this peice of paradise the more facilities the local council will grant us. At this moment in time, we simply lack restaurants and shops (even though some are being built).
Get yourself down to Little Bay on a lovely sunny day and see for yourself exactly what I am talking about. Trust me you will not look back!

Great place to live, very quiet neighbourhood with easy access to transport and safe street parking. Highly recommended for families, couples or singles. Spacious and comfortable with fantastic mobile and Tv reception.

Chifley is a suburb of Sydney located 13 kilometres south east of the CBD in the local government area of the City of Randwick and part of the Eastern Suburbs. It is bordered by Malabar to the east, Little Bay to the south and Matraville to the west and north. It has a population of about 3,100, 23% of whom are under 18 and 22% of whom are over 60.

The suburb was named after the Australian Prime Minister Ben Chifley. It is a fairly flat suburb. Chifley was actually part of Matraville until it was made a separate suburb in the 1960’s.

The median price of houses is $707,000 which is below the total region average of $960,000. There is a large public housing complex located in the suburb.

Chifley Primary School caters for younger children but older children do not have to travel far to high schools in neighbouring suburbs.

As it lies between Bunnerong Road and Anzac Parade it is well serviced by buses going to the city and out to other eastern suburbs.

There are no shopping centres in Chifley but nearby suburbs have all the facilities residents require.

Chifley may not be one of the better eastern suburbs but still quite a pleasant suburb.

Little Bay was the home of the Prince Henry Hospital. This site was closed in 2001 and the area is being redeveloped as a housing complex. There will also be a shopping village.

The beach at Little Bay is small and sheltered and used to be very polluted due to its proximity to the Malabar sewage treatment plant. After the commencement of operation of the Malabar Deep Ocean Outfall the beach was considerably cleaned up and today Little Bay Beach is constantly one of the cleanest beaches in Sydney.

There are no schools in the suburb of Little Bay so children have to travel to neighbouring suburbs for school. There is an efficient bus service in the area.

Little Bay has two golf courses both offering spectacular views from all over their courses. They are the Coast Golf Course, for both members and casual players and St. Michael’s Golf Club for members only. St Michael’s is regarded as one of the most testing golf courses in Australia.
