Monthly rental in Melbourne

Hi! Middle aged american guy here..looking for a fun area to live for a month...want restaurants and bars, some culture and fun. Also, will not have a car..so need easily walkable and safe streets! I usually like city centers..but not the ones that empty out at night! Price not really a concern...just want convenience and lots of neighborhood options

Hi Marting2
Without a doubt, stay in Melbourne CBD - you will find laneways full of street food, bars, restaurants and music open to all hours. We are a 24 hour city. Otherwise, google Prahran, South Yarra, Fitzroy, Collingwood, Carlton, St Kilda - all inner city suburbs with easy access to the city centre via tram.
Our tram network in the CBD grid is free to use - so it is easy to go from one end of the city to the other after a few too many bevies.
Have an awesome time in Melbourne! The world's best city!

Hi, you could look into Docklands, Waterfront City. A secure apartment complex, amazing views, restaurants and bars at your feet. You don't even need to travel in the CBD for entertainment, it's all there. But if you decide to venture in the CBD, the tram stops are right there also.
