Free activities in Melbourne

If you like to explore cities, without having to fork out a lot of money to do so, I have noted down some free activities in the city.

Take the time to explore the amazing art work on the laneways of Melbourne. You can start off walking around the CBD then venture to Fitzroy where most of the streets are covered in incredible pieces.

Take the time to find out more about Melbourne’s Aboriginal history. Go to Koorie Heritage Trust’s Cultural Centre and learn about the Wurundjeri.

Plenty of gigs.
Venues all over the city offer plenty of music to see. Cherry Bar (found on AC/DC Lane) Northcote Social Club, The Retreat. Plenty of options.

Take the time to explore Royal Botanic Gardens, these beautiful grounds sitting just outside of the CBD.

Take the City Circle Tram and see the CBD at a slightly faster pace.

I believe they have free walking tours of Melbourne as well. Don't know too much about it. Put something worth looking into.
