Which suburbs are good to raise family in South East of Melbourne?

I got a permanent job in Cheltenham, Melbourne. Now, I want to move to South or South East of Melbourne. A suburb which should be near to Cheltenham and CBD for any future job. My son is in 4th grade; therefore, we are looking for reputable publc schools too. Please, suggest as necessary.
