"Mermaid Beach - Why live anywhere else?"

Mermaid Beach is honestly my favourite suburb on the Gold Coast.

Historically, Mermaid Beach has been one of the forgotten suburbs between Broadbeach and Burleigh heads. But in recent years Mermaid Beach has seen a period of gentrification. With many cafes, restaurants and bars now calling Mermaid Beach home, along with Woolworths opening early 2022.

With world class, white sandy beaches, many green parks, recreation clubs and excellent transport links - Mermaid Beach is the suburb to beat.

"Why would you want to live anywhere else??!"

Mermaid Beach is geographically positioned in the centre of the Gold Coast alongside a 5 kilometre stretch of golden sand and surf beach and home to the famous Hedges Avenue "Millionaires Row".

Experience amazing views from Hedges Avenue and Albatross Avenue as kilometres of white sandy beaches await you. There are also some great parks in the area to enjoy a barbeque or a quiet picnic with friends and family.

The Nobby Beach local shopping area is nestled at the base of Magic Mountain and Santorini Resorts, and is developing a lovely village atmosphere with boutique shops, cafes and alfresco dining all found here.

Neighbouring the suburb of Broadbeach and one of the Gold Coast's major business centres, home to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Conrad Jupiters Casino, the Gold Coast Convention Centre, countless cafes, restaurants and shops as well as the Oasis Shopping Centre these are all within a few minutes drive.

Only 5 kilometres down the road will bring you to Australia's premier tourist destination Surfers Paradise where nightlife, bars, shopping and more restaurants are the order of the day.

Miami to the south also boasts one of the loveliest beaches on the Coast with a beautiful foreshore reserve inviting weekend picnickers and family barbeque goers.

Some beautiful homes can be spotted on the lakes, rivers and canals that wind their way throughout Mermaid Waters and allow boating access for the keen fisherman or boatie.

Located within a 15 minute drive to the M1 Freeway which can take you to Brisbane CBD in the north within an hour, and Byron Bay in the south in only 45 minutes. Mermaid Beach, Mermaid Waters and Miami are home to approximately 10,000 residents and are serviced by high schools, primary school, numerous day care facilities, Bond University, excellent sporting facilities and sporting clubs, and are regarded as some of the most livable suburbs along our coastline.

Rentals in Mermaid Beach

"beach lifestyle"

Mermaid Beach is a wonderful mixture of millionaires, and the rest of us who are the majority! When you walk around the neighbourhood and along the beach you realise the one thing that unites everyone there is the love of the beautiful beach which is accessible to everyone. Neighbourhoods are what you make it, and Mermaid beach is for those who enjoy sunny smiles and attitudes. You don't need to be a millionaire for that.

"Couldn't ask for more!!"

Mermaid Beach is an exciting beachside suburb which has it all. Entertainment and eating within walking distance from most streets. One stop to Pacific Fair shopping, beautiful beaches, bike tracks, several top rate medical centres and friendly residents, couldn't ask for more.

"Rude"

An overpriced rude area that deserves better friendlier people. Dont attempt to ride a bike along Hedges Ave. Millionare owners of mansions back out without looking. The millionares dont miss out either with the houses being egged by yobbos with a tall poppy syndrome. An area for all the wannabees that will be harassed by the dont haves. Not any area to relax in
