Reviews of Potter Street, Dandenong
"Nice quite and lovely"
very comfortable and safe street in Dandenong. surprisingly very near to the station if you take the internal streets (not princes highway). The realestate in this street is slowly gearing up. overall a very pleasant family friendly street.

"Potter Street - now one of the best in Dandenong"
Been an OK street 3-4 years ago. But now it is one of the best streets to rent or ever buy. There are few apartments and units to rent and buy here. Away from the hustle and bustle of busy Dandenong central but yet very close. The station is just 7-9 mins walk. Bus stops right on the street can take to the station or even to Chadstone shopping centre. Having rented here for last few years now planning to buy a nice 2-3 bedroom house. The prices are steadily rising!.. cant wait to permanently move in.

"A nice quiet street"
No too far from Dandenong plaza and hemmings park. Friendly, multicultural environment. Great first street to rent in order to appreciate a working class neighbourhood and perhaps aspire to something better in the future. Problems and issues will be heard, but that is part of life. Lived a year there and had no problem whatsoever. A community like any other. Have great affection for Dandenong and living there forged my character, establishing, perhaps without knowing, a passion for community work which I know use to make a difference.
"Avoid this street."
Lived here for a year. Lots of run down apartments filled with mice and cockroaches. Shouting neighbours and police constantly drive past this street to deal with drug busts, domestic violence and crime in the street and Hemmings Park.

"A perfect street for criminals and derros"
I can only recommend renting here (please, dont ever buy into this street) if your only other option is a cardboard box. in fact, place the cardboard box somewhere other than dandenong and that might be a better option.
I have never had to call the police so many times, my car insurance premium more than doubled (rightly so, my car was broken into twice), i was scared to come home on many occasions... and a dandenong police officer told me it was the worst street in melbourne.
Junkies screaming at each other until all hours, a laneway to a park that attracts nothing but miscreants, regular assaults, breakins, and domestics.
One word:
Don't.
