"Amazing in many ways but…"

Pros:
Beach side walks, swimming, cafes and local ammenities are excellent.

Close enough to travel into city or Cronulla area. Transport is good.

Parks and lifestyle benefits are really king here.

Cons:
Night time is a different show. Depending which street you live you’ll either experience the issue of hoons driving through the neighbourhood. You can’t escape it. Loud Motorbikes and fart can shitboxes doing laps. Not safe.

Serious issue which really brings down the suburbs natural peacefulness.

These same out of area ignorant pests also litter a lot. Treat the street like crap even while there’s a bins within arms length.

"My favourite suburb by a country mile"

When I think about Sandringham, thoughts of the fresh smell of the sea breeze, bright sunny days and lots of happy people are conjured up in my mind.
Take a drive down to this hidden gem and you will see why everyone wants to live here and no one wants to sell!
Marvell at the home proud occupants and there impeccably maintained property’s, it’s almost impossible to find a bad home in this suburb.
I often take my family down to the beach ,the water is warm the sand is clean and it’s as quiet as can be.
With wide open park land spaces and the panoramic view of almost unlimited water, where else in Sydney can you find an almost country village style atmosphere in a bayside suburb?
Sandringham as you would expect is an expansive suburb, you can almost certainly expect to pay over a million dollars for the most modest family home with regular 2br apartments selling for around Half a Million.
The suburb continues to surprise with regular record sales, probably contributing to this is the fact that buyers out number sellers by about 20 to 1 or more !

Half of the suburb is made up of beach front mansions and considerable modern homes, also available are a very small amount of apartments , villas and townhouses.
The residents of Sandringham are some of the nicest most friendliest people I have ever met, if you are lucky enough to reside in this exclusive suburb one day you know you’ve made it.

Great for

  • Beach, wide streets, beach front homes
  • Quiet, friendly people, clean
  • Close to everything

"Clareville Avenue- peaceful and quiet? Not a hope in hell!"

I always thought Sandringham had it all, beaches and bay views everywhere, great baths, close to everything but far enough away to be a little piece of paradise. That was until I actually lived in the area, specifically Clareville Ave. opposite the old pub site.

Where do I begin? The cacophony of lawn mowers, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers on any given day between sunrise and sunset drives me to lock myself in my top floor apartment to escape the noise and enjoy my bay views through the glass, to the constant noise of buses stopping on both sides of the road all day and into the evening.

And finally, the hoons on their motorcycles and in their pimped up cars with overly loud exhausts and stereos doing laps of the area and every so often thinking they're at the race track and seeing how fast their car/motorcycle can really go.

In conclusion, I still think it is a lovely area but the difference between paradise and hell is all about the street you live in. On that note I'm moving to a quiet street in Sans Souci. Clareville Avenue- you can keep it!

"Sandringham is Living at its finest 10/10 +++++"

Having recently moved into this beautiful Bay Side suburb, I find Sandringham offers sensational lifestyle for families, for retirees and for everyone who wants to live in a suburb that offers village shopping, parks, beaches where you just feel like you are on holidays year round, yet you hop on the eastern distributor and straight into the city.

From the bike tracks to the bay side walks, to the cafes and local restaurants including, Le Beach Hut Restaurant on the park and Steve's Cafe on the park in Russell avenue, Sandringham is the ideal paradise whilst close to all ameinities.

Sandringham Just ticks all the right boxes.

Boasting approximately 15% growth since 1992 Sandringham is a tightly held suburb with buyers paying a premium to gain a foothold into this suburb with just recent a 4 bedroom duplex sold for 1.373 million dollars in the area.

Great beaches and fantastic fishing off the beach and if you are into boating , cruise to La Perouse for coffee, fish and chips, cruise to Como Marina at the cafe and have a great lunch, then up to Picnic Point, or if you like to endulge then Lugarno Seafood restaurant. Dock your boat and enjoy. Just some great places that also surround Sandringham if like me, you are also a boatie.

If you live in Sandringham, then you already know about its beauty. If you are visiting Sandringham, enjoy. If you have just moved in, then welcome aboard.

Paradise found.

"A beautiful place to bring up a family"

My family and I moved into the Sans Souci area approx 3 years ago and have never been happier. We feel so refreshed since moving here and believe we are here to stay. With so many parks at our feet our children have grown to love the area and the children surrounding it. We love our morning walks along the bay and then stopping for a coffee somewhere along the way. The bike tracks are great for kids and adults alike not to mention all the surrounding beaches which are also great for kids as they are so calm. The local preschools and primary school are both excellent and you are made to feel welcome there every day and have a great sense of warmth every time you enter and exit the grounds. You leave your children there with a sense of comfort that they will be well cared for and well looked after. Apart from Sandringham's beauty, the community is what sells the area to me personally....the local coffee shop, Cherish Cafe, brings the community together and is such a great little escape out of the daily routine! A great place to catch up with friends over a cup of coffee or a beautiful breakfast or lunch. Have never felt happier in any other area that we've lived in and highly recommend this little hideaway to anyone! We are currently in Sans Souci which is also beautiful but hope to make it to Sandringham some time soon.....no-one seems to sell there, now I know why!

Hi! Great review, couldn’t agree with you more.
Except I wish more people would sell, as you say it’s so good they won’t leave!
When I came to the area 3 years ago you could buy a modest home in a decent street for about $580,000 and walk to the parks and beach in 5 Minutes I knew at the time that was outstanding value.
Today the same house will cost you $750,000 (Still good value I think) Quit simply Sandringham is the nicest suburb I have ever had the pleasure of working in its absolute GOLD!

"MAJESTIC SEASIDE SUBURB"

Some of the most exclusive homes and most expensive are to be found on this stretch. Located on the water's edge, these home can see values in the millions. Walk to the water's edge or stroll down to the Cafe's, the lifestyle on offer is second to none. The perfect family suburb with parks and beaches nearby, the attraction is the small village beachside lifestyle Sandringham offers with two great clubs on offer. Only a couple of streets in the area, it's median price is the highest in the peninsula and is earmarked for excellent capital gains & values.
