Whats the average age of people living in Somers?
A number of reviews are suggesting that Somers is one of the best places to live in (Greater) Melbourne. It's pretty far away from things (which might be the secret!) .. so I'm curious to know .. is this a little place with lots of old retirees? or are there a mix of young and old people here?

Well the population is mainly older people, (Couples moving here who are 40 plus). However there is a new influx of younger families coming in. There aren't many young singles and couples in Somers as it is a long way from pubs, nighclubs etc. Its more a relaxed seaside suburb, I'm not sure why it was rated the number 1 suburb in Melbourne for so long; probably because the few people (about 2000) really enjoy living here.
