Reviews of Clifton Beach, QLD
"Overpriced."
Do yourself a favour and try Kewarra. Clifton is overrated with 1 cafe and a small shopping centre.
"Clifton beach best kept secret"

Diane we agree, Clifton Beach is one of the Northern Beaches best kept secrets. Beautiful quiet beaches, with a combination of large established properties, and affordable smaller homes and apartments too. Its a great place to call home - Villages Shops, Cafes, Pizza,Tennis Club and the best Mojitos at Coco Mojos. Welcome to Paradise!!!
"Tropical escape."
We lived in Clifton Beach for 13 years. We witnessed the slow but steady growth of this beach village. It has a great shopping centre...Coles, Doctors, Chemist, Bakery etc. If you need a larger variety then the Smithfield shopping centre is only 10 minutes drive away. The pace in this neighbourhood is laid back. There is one really good restaurant near the beach, Coco Mojos (excellent food). If your a foodie, then Palm Cove is only 5 minutes by car. There is a really good local tennis club that has operated for years. The only reason we left was because we had the neighbours from hell. Now that we have tried living in a few different places we have decided to return to our beloved Clifton Beach.
"Unspoilt Paradise"
Loved every minute of living here. I visited Clifton Beach many years ago and loved the location I decided to seek work in Cairns just so I can relocate for a period of time. It had a blend of accommodation style ranging from apartments, resorts and luxury homes. There is just enough development projects going on, a convenient shopping centre and unspoilt views of the beach. The locals are friendly and the streets are always clean and safe.Only 20mins to the City, 5minutes to Palm Cove and 30minutes to Port Douglas, it's Cairns best kept secret.

"Overpriced and lacks character"
Has a Coles which doesn't add much value.l in my opinion. House prices on decline as people now see they can get better quality in suburbs right next to it like Kewarra Beach. Beach is not bad. Close to palm Cove.

"A quiet paradise"
Clifton beach is a very quiet and peaceful place for everyone. It has many, many local beaches and parks and it is fantastic to have bbq's at the beach as they are always kept lovely and clean. Many friendly people live in this suburb and it is nice to chat while on many parks that run along the foreshore. Lovely area to raise children and to keep active.

"A great place for work life ballance"
I live and work in the beaches with my fiancée, we have lived here for 3 years and it is our first home all of our own. If we had stayed in the city we would not have been able to afford a new 3 bedroom house with a pool with a 20 minute drive from the city. When we moved from Brisbane I would tell my friends that I wanted to walk to work along the beach, now I do it every day. When I do drive I never have any trouble with traffic, when we first got here it took a little while to get used to not hearing all the noise of the city it was so quite. On my way home I can drop into Clifton Village the local shopping centre, pick up my goodies for dinner without being rushed around the shops along with everyone else on their way home.
When I get home it is like I am on vacation, everyday. I can sit outside with a cool drink and relax, no traffic noises just the breeze though the Banana & Palm trees. The neighbours are all friendly and if you are home early enough you will see everyone out and about around 4:30/5 for their afternoon walk with their dogs along the beach or on the local walking paths to relax. We all catch up on the gossip out on the street. What I have found so amazing is that for all the pets in the area you never hear any barking or commotion.
The area is safe and children friendly with lots of local parks and playgrounds. In our estate all the children play together and go around trick or treating at Halloween. So for something different, most houses are dressed up for Christmas and we dress ours up for Halloween. The kids love it.
We are located 25 minutes from Port Douglas & 25 minutes from Cairns. Being located next to Palm Cove is great it has a lot of good restaurants only a 15 minute walk away. Every Saturday we walk to Palm Cove for Breakfast and get our caffeine fix with a fantastic coffee at Chill Cafe right on the water front.
It is a great place to live for work life balance, as when you are home you can pretend you are on holidays in a tropical location and forget work. It has really helped not having to rush, rush, rush for everything every day.

"The ideal suburb postioned between the reef and the rainforest"
This suburb offers the best of both worlds, with an emphasis on a relaxing lifestyle with access to great resturants, schools and tourist attractions in neighbouring suburbs. A great place to unwind and enjoy the parks and amenities by the beach.
