Recently moved here and loving the ease of getting around. It's close to Edgecliff Train Station and multiple bus routes. Bu you really don't need to leave the suburb. It has all the beaches, shops and entertainment that you'll need within walking distance.

I live in Double Bay, have a business in Double Bay and the kids go to school in Double Bay.. We have been here through the quieter times when the cinema and the Ritz Carlton closed down... However it is now making a resurgence with the Flag Ship Intercontinental due to reopen, About Life, Dan Murphys and Woolies opening and the new library on its way. There is a spring in the step of the locals with all the new shops opening their doors.

The rapid growth of double bay is perfect for any business looking for a reliable and consistent consumer base with the neighbouring development attracting thousands of people everyday.

Each Thursday in Guilfoyle Park is a fantastic outdoor market that is a great alternative for not only fresh produce shopping but also for the kids. There is a jumping castle, pony rides and a baby animal zoo. With the breeze through the willows, the sound of the kids laughing and dancing to the musos (who will take requests for the Toddlers Top 10), you can get some beautiful organic fruit and veg, grab some lunch (gozleme proves incredibly popular with young and old), sit at a little Parisian style cafe chowing down on freshly made crepes (and the staff were full French stripes and berets!).

The number of prams seem to increase whenever I visit. A nice quiet place only 1 street away from the main drag which is nice.

Definitely worth a visit

A harbourside eastern suburb, Double Bay is just one of the best places to live, with the nicest restaurants. If you are into labels then you are in your element for boutique shopping. Like coming here and meeting up with friends.
