Life is so easy and fast in Harris Park.

Great suburb, lots of new developments and the council is really investing in its growth & turning Harris Park into a sort after suburb!

I haven't lived here very long, its pretty easy to get around. I have found that if you are a young full Australian female walking about on your own in day or night it can be quite intense when it comes to people with different nationalities, i have been followed to and from my home by groups of males and men on their own by foot and when they are in cars quite a few times. I like to be home by 5.30 to avoid the groups of men that are either from Pakistan/India or are middle eastern as that is when they seem to be out harassing girls, other then that its not too bad for rent and its very close to Parramatta.

I've lived in Harris Park for as long as i can remember, i grew up in Brisbane st and have recently purchased my first apartment in Good st. its a great suburb and wouldnt live anywhere else!

One thing ive noticed over the years is how fast the suburb has changed, their are new apartments being built every day but thats a good thing especially for property growth.

Harris is 5 minutes walk to Parramatta train station, Westfields, shops, facilities, etc. It has loads of lovely heritage houses that are really affordable. We moved from the Inner West (Marrickville) as we wanted to be able to afford a nice house, but still wanted to be close to the train stations. We found a really cute Victorian workers cottage 5 minutes to both Harris Park & Parramatta Stations. I work at Central and it takes me 25minutes from Parramatta station to Central station on the Blue Mountains Express line (quiet carriages too). It takes my colleague who lives in Rozelle longer to get to work!

Its a safe neighbourhood, we have lived here for 5 years with no problems at all.

- Wide selection of exotic food
- Chemist, Doctors, Dentist, Lawyers at your door step
- Many schools (primary/secondary)
- Great transport

I have been investigating in property for the better part of 10 years now, throughout this period I have closely monitored market statistics for the Parramatta CBD region, I have personally owned 3 investment apartments within Harris Park and still currently have 1.
Over the past 3 years Harris Park has made a steady incline in market value and from all information available still looks to be continuing this trend.
This is great news for the residents/investors of Harris Park.

Friendly location, steady market growth.

As of recent findings I have heard that Parramatta city council are in the process of re-evaluating the boarder lines between the CBD and surrounding suburb.

This may mean that Harris Park is soon to be Parramatta which is a positive sign for the local real estate.

Overall this change would substantially improve the suburbs median value however I’m not sure how this would affect the heritage listed properties title.
