Reviews of Macleod, VIC
"Macleod is definitely the place to be!"
Macleod is definitely the place to be! We are so amazed by this suburb and its community. You always meet people at the local park, and it's very family-friendly. The park is right in front of cafés, a pharmacy, IGA, a post office, and a few restaurants, as well as the train station, tennis courts, and a YMCA. I've never seen anything like this—we are loving it!

"Nice & peaceful"
Only moved here 2 months ago, but very happy with our choice. Very quiet and friendly in our area. Train station and service very reliable. 25 minutes on the train to work beats spending an hour in the car and paying for parking. Shopping is okay, mostly cafes and take away, sad to say no bakery. However it's not far to travel to Watsonia which on the whole has a much better local shopping centre. Downside is the house prices both for sale and rental.
"Country living only 14km from the city."
We are very happy here, it is safe and plenty of parks for the kids and dog. I have lived in Melbourne for over 25 years and this is the first time I have felt a real sense of community. Highly recommended if you are looking for quiet living, with all the convenience of city living

"Beautiful and peaceful suburb just 15km from city."
I have been staying with my family for more than 5 years and take pride in the right choice we made. Lovely people, caring neighbours, green leafy place which is so peaceful. You have a train station, really good parks for walk, children's play area, nice schools, well connected with buses, tennis courts, cafes, auspost...almost everything a family needs.
Best part is its only 15km from city! Now with the north east link construction, you could reach city even faster!
We enjoy staying here.

"convenient place"
Small Suburb, it is quiet and close to the station, only 15 km to city. Neighbors are very nice. There are at least 4 large parks over there. New house is very expensive there and over 1million. But the old and tidy houses are with a good price and large land size. And this suburb could catch Viewbank College. Close to Doncaster Shopping mall(15mins), and Northland shopping mall(10 mins).
Close to Latrobe Uni.
Fantastic Place to move in

Nah he just moved to edithvale (check his profile). So he downvotes a few suburbs with simular rankings as edithvale so that edithvale can go up in rank.
He does it on the logic that people buy houses based on Homely.com ratings and therefore pushes his house price up so he can profit.
If you want to fix this only way is to 1star edithvale and tell this guy to remove the fake 1 star in return to remove yours.
good idea
"An amazing place to live"
Lovely neighbourhood, friendly people, clean and safe and the Springthorpe estate is an absolute joy to live in. Great set of shops, close to the train station and the city is only a short drive away. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

"A quiet safe suburb"
I think Macleod is a lovely suburb. It's really safe. The shops are nice. Very friendly neighbours and people. Nice shop owners. Never had any bad experiences what so ever. Very nice and friendly over all. Macleod Secondary is a great school. There's a YMCA, Tennis Club, IGA, 2 Hairdressers, Newsagent, 2 Fish and Chips shops, florist, op shop, green grocer, puppy groming shop, sinners pizza, pharmacy, 2 milkbars, cafe, butcher, a bank, 2 clothes shops, 2 dollar shop, art and craft shop, post office, electronic shop thingo, some beauty shop with nails and spray tans etcc.., keys cut shops and hardware etc. Thats pretty much it. Really handy shops. Very low crime rate. Nice and safe in the heart of Macleod.

You've said Macleod is a 'Nice suburb' but rated it 1/5? Why so low if you think it is a nice suburb?
I agree AJ. But he rated it 2/5 not 1/5. I think it's a lovely suburb.
2/5 is still not a 'nice' suburb, but I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I know that. Yeah, lol.
Could this guy remove, 2 star for a nice suburb? Do you even live here.
I used to see macleod is top One Suburd, why there is two unknown guy rate it down.
"Paradise in Cascade Walk, Springthorpe"
We have found paradise in Cascade Walk, Springthorpe Estate, Macleod. The architecture is fantastic, neighbours wounderful, we have access to the Country club with pool, tennis courts, gym, bbq facilities, decking and lounge, we are surrounded by walking tracks, parks, nature reserves and The Cascades waterscape. The 48 bus goes straight past for our child to get to Ivanhoe Grammer, or it's a short walk to Macleod Station for the train. We have cafes within walking distance in the estate. It is like living in the country but only 14km to the city. We couldn't be happier.

We love the Springthorpe Country Club facilities, social activities, active, fun loving neighbours and that feeling that we are in the country but only 14km to the city. Excellent public transport to Ivanhoe, Heidelberg and Kew schools. Select Cafe and shops in the estate.

yeah, it catches Viewbank college as well. The old building is comparable here
Do you live here. This rate is just like a spam. Nice suburb for one star It is a bit boring? Then why do not live in city. It is quiet for living. And 15 m2 to city for a train.
You can hang out in city. This play is for living.
