Morayfield, QLD 4506

The suburb is extremely built up with constant traffic & constant construction, everyone drives like a lunatic & there are a ton of bogans living in the area due to Caboolture being nearby

I am a retired person. Because of a stroke, public transport is a real problem. Taxi service is poor, many times a 2hour wait, some times, no show at all. I live along Oakey flat road, which has been upgraded. No one can tell me when buses will service this area

We moved into Morayfield at the start of the year and are loving the area!

I lived here for a few years. It's not a bad place really, it has everything you could need & there seems to be more and more all the time happening. Big shopping centre, all the restaurants & fast food. Medical, hospital not far & big format stores - some new ones have opened up some new growth potential. Only thing of course is Morayfield is still crawling with undesirables & it can be very very busy, particularly when Morayfield Rd is used as a cut-through to the gridlocked highway.

I enjoy that it is close to the train station, restaurants, beaches, taverns, schools, playgrounds, shopping centres, doctors, hospitals etc...only problem is there really needs an update for transport as there are no buses that travel through the streets, which is a let down. I have also had a person try and break into my house more then once and apparently the new method of breaking in is through the roof watch out for that! There is an older playground which has graffiti and pen marks which aren't pleasant and should be covered...not the quietest place to live, but I'd rather here then the city. There are a few negatives to living here which is unfortunate, but then again there are also positives.

I have lived in Morayfield for 4 years and have never had a problem. I live out near the highway and the biggest problem is sub woofers but not to the point of despair. I bought here as it was cheap and I havent ever had a problem with crime or theft. I will move away one day as I dont like Brisbane in general but for the moment it is hamdy for shops, highway access, beaches including Redcliffe peninsula and 24 minutes to surf beaches on Bribie Island. There are areas to avoid such as streets around Stefanie and Michael Avenue, but closer to the highway it is quite peaceful. There are always going to be people to be wary of in most suburbs but I will say its ok for me and Im happy there.

I didn’t enjoy living in morayfield but I did enjoy the relationships with neighbours. I can see how it would be a good place for first home buyers to get into the property market. The homes are older which can add character but I experienced 2 incidences of vandalism and 1 attempted break in during the 2 years I lived here. The neighbours were good though and kept an eye out for others. The streets are busy and I heard fights outside on a few ocasions. The police are responsive and attended very quickly on the occasions I had to call them. The shopping and ammenities in the area are good. It’s not a fancy suburb but it doesn’t pretend to be.. I think if you are starting out it can give you a good foot into the property market. Just take the time to get to know your neighbours and ensure your security is in check. Also my experience of morayfield was in the more suburban region, I have heard that the acreage streets behind the shops don’t have the same troubles with crime.

New young family, this area has a number of preschools, doctors and chemists, everything is a 2 minute drive or a short walk.
The car parks are undercover, so no super-hot car to put bub into.
We are really happy with the area.

I have lived in Morayfield for 11 years and intend to for many years to come. Surrounded by the parks, beaches, and a short drive to the sunshine coast there are so many recreational options. Most streets off the main roads are quiet and there is a broad range of housing options from quaint cottages to large modern homes.
The massive range of retail outlets offers your convenience shopping, post office, news agent, fast food etc and supermarket woolworths, Bunnings, Cinerma, There is also an IGA.There is a wide range of schools in the area, the university is very close and the train is a short trip into Brisbane.
The block sizes are what made us move out here, you will get easily 800m2-1200m2 for under 400k.
