I like the picturesque ride along the bike path on the bay from Birkenhead Point to Rozelle.
For kid friendly bike paths I like Centennial Park http://www.centennialparklands.com.au/home/maps and Bicentennical Park, Olympic Park http://www.sydneyolympicpark.com.au/whats_on/parks/bicentennial_park. They both have fantastic bike paths, facilities to hire bikes, cafes and playground equipment.
Carramar to Liverpool
This trail will bring you through many parks on its way to the end. Wetlands and waterfront as well. Before bring you up to Liverpool station. Where you can either double back or get the train home.
Love the Carramar trail. You can ride to east hills Station, great trail. Here are more. http://biketrail.info/index.html?sydneytoprides.html
Yeh the Carramar to east hills is beautiful, you’ll ride along georges river through georges hall and panania to reach east hills, you can detour towards Warwick farm along Newbridge Road now too the track has extended to ride to the new proposed georges river marina being built by Benedict. These the bass hill Aerodrome to that has world class facilities.
