Reviews of Waverley, TAS
"Outskirt Town"
Waverley is a small suburb on the outskirts of Launceston. With a small population and it's convenient location, Waverley offers a range of character homes with great prices for buyers and investors alike! Waverley has a small convenience store, school and plenty of greenery to offer people from all walks of life.

"Be careful who you get as your neighbours"
I have no doubt that most people in Waverly are nice, quiet people who just want to come home to a peaceful home after work. Unfortunately, I moved into a house with neighbours from hell. They yell and swear at each other and their kids constantly, their kids smash stuff in the backyard, throw rocks at neighbouring houses.. you get the idea. The suburb is probably fine apart from a few very annoying, bad apples.
"Affordable Investments"
Great for
- Natural Beauty of the suburb- it has it's own lake!
- Supermarket, School, Fast food, Service Station
- Winery, Vineyards, boutique tourist accomodation
- Affordable- 3 bedroom houses on large blocks for around $140,000
Not great for
- No restaurants- would be good if the winery built one! or even just a cafe

"Affordable suburb, now with a winery. Shaking off it's housing commission roots, by converting to private ownership at rapid rate."
We love that our suburb now has a winery! The place is changing so fast- lots of house renovations, and lots of new streets planned through council for brand new homes in Waverley in the coming years. Can't wait to see the suburb blossom even further over the next five years or so. We feel very welcome as a lesbian couple, getting on well with the elderly couple next door one one side & single mother on the other side. We go for walks along Waverley Lake, and 5 minute drive down to Launcestion Aquatic Centre where we go swimming once a week.

"Waverley, a up & coming gem of a suburb in Launceston... and the Gateway to the East Coast !!"
Waverley is a hightly visible suburb on the edge of East Launceston on the way to the East Coast. Waverley has so much naturaly beauty with a stunning sandy-shored fishing lake surrounded by mountain & city views. Waverley also has a rich history with the world famous Waverley Wollen Mills tucked away at the base of top-of-hill suburb. Having said that, the suburb is changing rapidly- it now even has it's own vineyard & winery, and even tourist accomodation!
