Moving from Overseas

Hi, My family and I are moving to Melbourne from Auckland end of year. We are a family of six 4 kids. We have done some research and have come to quite like what Mernda has to offer, I do have a few questions though. What is the nearest secondary state school to Mernda?
What is the estimate time Train ride to cbd once the train station has been built?
Are there jobs in the area?
What would be surrounding areas to look for work in call centre and factory or landscaping work?
We are planning to rent and eventually would like to buy.
