"Would like to know about current Mernda"

Mernda, VIC 3754 is located within the Whittlesea local government area, part of the Melbourne (Greater) Region in Victoria.

I have read all reviews started from 2009 to 2014. I have family with 3 young kids and would like to move to Mernda or surrounding. I work in Melbourne CBD and have to catch the train. Somewhere in the reviews it was bit disappointment regarding rough people, transport, traffic conditions and the train station. Could someone please update me with current conditions and the Mernda suburb would be great. Your time and help will be highly appreciated. Regards

I recently purchased a home in Mernda. I was renting in Elsternwick for 4 years prior to the move. It has everything I need in terms of amenities and I believe a new train station is coming so I expect the house prices to be on the rise. I don't find the people in the area to be 'rough' as you call it but I enjoy meeting all kinds of people.

I have bought a 4 bed house in Mernda and I am happy with this area and good neighbors. Beautiful landscapes ,quiet and modern streets and good future for this suburb tell me my purchase is the best choosing. Until 2019 new rail stations will open also 3 Coles and Woolworth and police station will open in upcoming months. This time is the best opportunity for buying a house in Mernda before booming the prices.
