Reviews of Oliver Avenue, Blackburn
"A really pleasant street to live in."
Oliver Ave is a wonderful street to live in. It's opposite Blackburn Lake which is a great place to experience our natural bushland, birds and animals. There are plenty of walking and bike tracks to explore. The whole area is very green and and natural - it's a bit like living in the bush, but it has all the amenities you need close by.
Oliver Ave is close to public transport, sports facilities, shops and schools. It's a cul-de-sac, so only local traffic uses it. It has an access track to Glen Ebor Ave and a pedestrial crossing across the railway tracks, to the Whitehorse Golden Mile shopping strip. Blackburn shopping centre is about 1 km away. It has lots of cafes, a good Indian restaurant and a great fish & chip shop.
The neighbours are quiet but friendly. They keep to themselves but always speak to you when they see you.
There's a haunted house in the street. - it's been derelict for years. The kids love it because it's spooky!!!
