Terrible traffic, main street is so run down, huge apartments going up everywhere, schools are over crowded, no good restaurants

It is very amazing

A very safe area, school students walk by themselves til fairly late.
Epping is also central to many work hubs - Norwest, Parra, Macq Park, Lower Nth Shore, express trains to Coast/Newcastle, the 288 bus is a lifesaver when there's trackwork. Drive to the city quickly in tunnel ($$$)

Lacking nightlife and restaurants, but many pizza shops til about 11pm, good cafes and pub, close to Macquarie megacentre

No issues, though very occasional weirdo will film bus drivers and take photos of buses?

We recently moved to Epping and couldn’t be happier with the area. It is so convenient and yet so leafy with spacious houses and greenery.

Everyone is really personable and friendly.

I would highly recommend Epping to families with primary to highschool aged kids.

A leafy suburb with a selection of great schools and well connected via metro, trains & buses. CBD, Chatswood & Parramatta are all within a 30-35 minute commute and despite being so strategically located, I find Epping to have a great community vibe.

I have lived there for a few years and enjoyed every moment of it. I much prefer Epping over lower/upper North Shore where the cost & lack of convenience far outweighs any benefits.

Traffic can get bad, but good place to live. Quite central

At the intersection of North and North West Sydney Epping is centrally located for commutes to any part of Sydney. Fantastic city train services via Strathfield or Chatswood, yet easy reach out to Parramatta or Castle Hill. A myriad of motorways close by to connect you to the airport or regional areas such as Newcastle or Canberra. The best schools in Sydney are all within 15 minutes of Epping: selective, non government and single sex high schools. A leafy community with families out exercising or walking pets, Epping has a safe feeling and people of many nationalities combine to respect and care for each other. Easy access to good hospitals, universities and restaurants is a bonus for families.

Epping is a well connected, upper middle class suburb on the north shore of Sydney. Lots of greenery, with only a hort stroll to the national park and dog park. The area is quiet and incredibly safe. Recent investment in commercial businesses on Oxford street means there is a small and new, but thriving cafe culture.

The better side of Epping is definitely north of the train station, heading toward the suburb of North Epping. This is arguably the more refined and picturesque side of Epping.

The only downside is the poor road planning and congestion near Coles and on the south side of the station. This will continue to get worse as the new high rise buildings begin releasing apartments for rent.

The demographic of the area are young professionals and families. Epping will only continue to go up in value and is a great place to invest and settle.
