For kid-friendly eating out in Sydney I'd recommend:

North Bondi Fish in Bondi
Has a great kids menu and overlooks the beach (homemade icy poles, mac and cheese and fish & chips of course!) http://www.northbondifish.com.au/

Burnt Orange in Mosman
Has a special $15 kids lunch meal deal http://www.burntorange.com.au/wp/.

The Henson in Marrickville
Has a great kids menu (featuring slurpies, milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches and popcorn) and it has a play space http://www.thehenson.com.au/.

Four Frogs Creperie in Avenue Road, Mosman http://www.fourfrogs.com.au/
The Mosman Hotel on Military Road, Mosman - near Spit Junction http://www.hotelmosman.com/
Sushi train on Military Road, Neutral Bay - right near Macca's http://www.sushitrain.com.au/

Just take them to Star City, the buffet is amazing. There are plenty of great restaurants near darling harbor on the opposite end near the maritime museum and aquarium.

We always go to Manoosh in the inner west (Enmmore). Heaps of really good pizzas and other options, well-priced too. Lots of mid-week specials too!
