"A great place for those who love nature and peace"

If you want somewhere leafy and peaceful with not much happening around, The Basin is a good choice. Living here for five months, we are really enjoying it. We usually drive to the Boronia train station that takes about 6 minutes. There is the option of buses to the train station as well. Ringwood shopping centre and Knox Westfield also almost ten minutes away!

"Far from city - bad transport not feel like you are in melbourne"

Too far from city and bad transport. Doesnt really feel like you are in melb as it is a chore to go to there and you are living in a forest with bad internet connections.

"It's a secret,"

Beautiful trees close to shops, Knox shopping centre 10 minutes ect. Dandenong Rangers National Park, 4 minute walk. Train to City 3 minute drive. Quite, extremely low crime rate. No majors road passing through. Large blocks. Room to move. Beautiful!!!!!

"Beautiful little Melbourne suburb"

Been living here for nearly two years now, and can honestly say that it is one of the best places I've ever lived. Quiet, safe, peaceful, picturesque with the national park to the rear, close to public transport (either bus or Boronia train station) and shopping (including a Kmart open til midnight close by at Boronia.. and just a 10 min drive to Knox City and Eastland Shopping Centres). Never had a problem with security, only the occasional party that is usually wrapped up by midnight. Plenty of access to medical facilities as well as schools.
Pros
  • Beautiful views, close to national park
  • Quiet and safe
  • Close to shopping, schools, transport
Cons
  • Some streets are narrow and residents can park inconveniently

"Love the Basin!"

I have lived here for 8 years and love the fact you feel as though you're in the country when you're only 5 mins from Boronia and all the hustle and bustle!
