"My City, Adelaide"
Having worked in the CBD for many years now I have learnt a few things about the CBD. I know most of the parking inspectors!! and when and where to leave for home without getting caught in the so called traffic.(25 minutes at worse)
East side or West side both offer great cafes, bars and clubs, shopping and all the things you need in city life. If I were to live in the CBD I would fins an apartment or house close to the Central Markets because that place is a just a real cosmopolitan feel. Hope on to a tram to commute around or walk amonst the city crowd. With some funky little watering holes opening up due to new liquor licencing changes Leigh street and Peel street are the places to be on a warm evening.
With the redevelopement of Adelaide Oval the city is a buzz and I personally cant wait for the new CBD
Great for
- Easy to get around for a CBD
- It isnt too busy
- Cafes, clubs and pubs
Not great for
- Parking Inspectors!!!
- More developments both residential and commercial

"Best Suburb between the beach and the city"
This suburb is just perfectly located between the city and Henley beach. Has some beautiful streets with gorgeous homes. Its a large suburb with some pockets better than others. Its the home of Kooyonga golf course one of Adelaide's best. Has plenty of primary schools in the area and very close to Underdale High. Just away from the flight path dont hear to much noise. Has the river as a boundry which is a great place for a walk or a bike ride. A little busy on the main roads after 4 but not too much to stress about

"Home of the LION hotel"
I Love Melbourne Street. I used to work on the street and I miss it. CIBO coffee and when I was there they had a nice Ice Cream store there, Golden North? Anyway the LION hotel is brilliant. Back in the day I could get a Parmy with a glass of coke and $3 for pokies all for $9. I used to pocket the $3 so it was a 6 dollar lunch. loved it. Nice building and there is a IGA and other specialty stores

"A short stroll to the CBD"
Just a short walk to the city but why would you when there is some much on O'connell and Melbourne street. Cafes, supermarkets, specialty stores, pubs and resturants. Some of the most grandest homes in Adelaide. Would love to live in a beautiful old two story monster with manicured lawns and gardens, anyone know those 6 x lotto numbers!!!

"Perfect between the city and the beach"
I am an Underdale High old scholar so spent 5 years in the area and live in the ajoining suburb. Underdale is a great spot 10 minutes to the city and 10 minutes to the beach. Having a new promenade estate where homes are worth over a million and then having charcter homes there its just great. With the river and parks so close by its a great little suburb

"Large Suburb, bit of an all sorts"
Having lived in Seaton I enjoyed being close to the beach and not too far from the city. There are some better pockets of Seaton than others. I agree with some other posts that the southern side of Seaton is better than the northern side. There are also some pockets that have been redeveloped too. Very close to West Lakes shopping center and there are some decent liitle block of shops in the suburb.
Great for
- Close to the beach
- Affordable

There is now too much development in Seaton. Have lived here for 12 years and every second house is being bulldozed with townhouses on it. The others have hammerhead blocks with neighbours right up against your fence. Apparently Seaton is second most developed sunburn in Adelaide. So it has gone from being reasonably quiet to noisy, too many vehicles parked on the street so existing residents cant have visitors , tradies etc . Also too many rentals with over populated units because the rent is expensive. I supposedly live in the nice end but sadly it is being ruined.
"So close to the city!!!"
I love that this suburb is so close to the city and I think one of cheapest to get into so close to the city.
Although there is some industral properties in the area the first three streets in Keswick off South Road are all residential. There is a school in the suburb and very close to the Ashford Hospital. Nice little deli on Everard Ave. There are a few unit blocks in the suburb and I reckon there is a few tenants in the area.

"So close to the CBD!"
Wayville is a brillianrt suburb so close to the city about a 20 minute walk, only 3 bus stops and one tram stop!!! Filled with character homes some in the million dollar price range and wide tree lined streets. Trevelyan, Davenport and Young some of my favourites. Close to the gorgeous little shops on Goodwood road and then the brilliant retail and food outlets on King William St. There are a few parks in Wayville but when your opposite the southern parklands who needs a park! Great place to live

"Just so close to the City"
Great little suburb within walking distance of the CBD, only 5 to 6 bus stops and the best thing is the tram service, who needs a car! With a decent Foodland in George Street and brilliant butcher on West Thebby road all your bases are covered. With a plethora of pubs, my favourite the Wheaty on George St, what a selection of beers that place has.
