"Plethora of Parks, Playgrounds & Positive People"

As both a resident and real estate agent specialising in Glen Iris and surrounds, I could not be more passionate about this wonderful leafy suburb which offers a perfect blend of old world charm and luxury homes.

It was not until I moved to the area that I really understood just how perfect Glen Iris is for families. A very tight knit community with very friendly and helpful neighbours. I think because I am from a farm in New Zealand, the abundant greenery in the area is something that really connects with me and gives a sense of relaxation. The area however is also so alive with activity if you seek it out. 26 different options for parks, endless biking & walking trails, brilliant amenities, super fresh food at Ashburton Village on High Street (or the more luxurious option of Leo’s supermarket on Summerhill Road) a myriad of cafes (with the ‘Glen Iris Pantry’ being a local institution) immediate access to the freeway and CBD, the convenience of 10 minutes to Chadstone Shopping or Bunnings (as there are a lot of DIY lovers locally) and a plethora of schooling options.

It is no surprise that once most people have moved into Glen Iris, if they move again at all, it is more often than not just to a bigger or smaller house in the same area.

BIG fan of Glen Iris and extremely enthusiastic about living and working here.

"Lovely Lifestyle"

So much to love. Glen Iris is a rare gem hidden in Melbourne’s inner east that has managed to hold the old-time allure of a tightly-knit community whilst enticing newcomers to establish there own trendy take on it’s quaint lifestyle. Fast becoming a growing mecca for diverse and dynamic living, Glen Iris is the perfect mix of peaceful suburban sanctuary and easy access to the bustle of Melbourne’s vibrant city. Beautiful houses in an enchanting array of historic styles combined with cutting edge developments decorate quiet tree-lined streets forming an ideal environment for family exploration, professional convenience and quiet contentment. Cozy and creative cafes, charming boutiques and upscale restaurants & bars on the commercial pathways of High Street and Burke Road perfectly compliment the natural streetscapes and picture perfect parklands dotted amongst kid-filled backyards and boutique developments.

"fabulous suburb with parks and tree lined streets"

While I visited it was one of the wettest days in recent history. However, the charm and feel of the area was clear. This is a nice place to live.

During the day on the weekends it is nice and quiet, and very little through traffic on the streets making it a great place to raise a family. Its not a long trip into the city and the area is serviced well by public transport. There is a lot to like about Glen Iris.
