Reviews of Munster Avenue, Carnegie

"Golden Triangle?"

Supposed to be the Hub of Carnegie's Golden Triangle, an area bounded by McPherson, Grange, Holywood and Mile End/Mimosa Streets, however it has become a cut through from Rosstown road and grange road.
There are two ends to the street, one has many flats, the other a good selection of Edwardian period homes on smallish blocks that will not support Dual occupancy dwellings. Most of the period homes have been/are being renovated adding to the streetscape and re-sale value. The homes on the North side at the western end have access from the rear street (Craigavad street)
Although some neighbours are delightful, this is not really a friendly street. Few if any street oriented social activities take place. However, if it is peace and quiet you want, apart from the odd unruly teenager, this could be for you.

Close walking distance to St Anthony's primary school, walking distance to Carnegie main street (koornang rd), but further to Parks.
Close proximity to Monash University (caulfield) means the flats in the east end of the street are brimming with international students.
Overall a nice street scape, but in some opinions rather over-valued.
