Reviews of McPherson Avenue, Carnegie
"A Beautiful Street Scape, Walk to Everything"
As a real estate agent in the Carnegie area, McPherson Avenue is situated in what many call Carnegie's 'Golden Triangle' surrounded by other popular streets such as Holywood Grove, Munster Avenue, Mile End Road, Mimosa Road, Edgewood Street and Buckley Street. There are two ends to the street running between Grange Road & Cosy Gum Road with the majority of the street being Edwardian/Federation style period homes.
This is a street where the large majority of owners take great pride in their homes. While some homes remain in original but great condition a large number of homes have been renovated to an elite standard that shows owners plan to be there for some time if they haven't been already!
Throughout the Spring and Summer months it is one of the most picturesque central streets in Carnegie with it's streetscape of beautiful trees and gardens that make it a delight to enjoy a nice walk early in the day or in the evening. Homes in McPherson Avenue have either a North or South orientation.
Close walking distance to Carnegie and St Anthony's primary schools, walking distance to Carnegie main street (koornang rd) where you have a fantastic selection of cafes, eateries and bars...Platform 3, The Rosstown Hotel and Nude Duck to name a few.
Close proximity to Monash University (caulfield), Carnegie train station, Truganini Road Tram (commence from Truganini Road near Koornang Road (Carnegie) and run via Truganini Road, Glenhuntly Road, Brighton Road, St Kilda Road (Domain Interchange), Swanston Street (City) to terminate near Faraday Street (University of Melbourne) and just a short drive to Chadstone Shopping Centre.
