Redlynch, QLD 4870

Its a nice area with some great parks and schools. the shopping center is adequate. Just too far form town for me. if you are up redlynch valley it is a bit of a trek.

Ignore the reviews moaning about Redlynch being too far out. If you've got a car everything you need is not too far away and easy to get to. This is an absolute gem of a place. If you love a quiet suburban Australian life this is a wonderful place to be. There are bike paths everywhere, easy access to some of Cairns loveliest creeks, waterfalls and trails, tons of options for early morning runs while its cool. Even the local shopping centre has just about everything you need, and if they don't have it there you are just 15 mins from Smithfield or 20 mins from central Cairns when its quiet. If you like your fast food theres a Maccas and a Dominos. Even when its raining the mist on the mountains which surround the suburb look spectacular. I never get bored of this place! Make sure though you get a place with a swimming pool. You will be using it often as its often hot hot hot up here in FNQ. Yes its warm but I find it puts a smile on my face every day, and on the cool clear sky days its absolutely glorious. If you've been dreaming of a modern suburban tropical place to call home I would recommend Redlynch to you.

Nothing to go. It rains all the time because they are so lose to the mountains. Feels so far away from everything. Traffic issues. Over priced for what it is.

Breathtaking! Absolutely stunning scenery and what city has such magnificent mountains with in 15 mins drive here in Australia! I would travel an hour to Springbrook National park or Mt Tambourine whilst living on the Gold Coast and The Blue Mountains from Sydney are an hour.Their is a lot of positive to be said for Cairns with areas such as Redlynch being apart of it! My partner and I are relocating their from a very brown Townsville! can not wait! plenty of running paths for me and creeks for my partner water holes views and yet so close to the city with very little traffic (once you have lived in Perth,Sydney,the Gold Coast and Brisbane this city is a breath of fresh air! when it comes to traffic.Outdoor 50 metre pool 10 minutes away! Woolworths and shops close by,the smell of clean air.A very special find indeed.

The suburb of Redlynch incorporating Redlynch Valley is arguably the best area to be a kid! With the constantly flowing Freshwater Creek providing canoeing adventures, Crystal Cascades for waterfalls and rockpools for swimming it is a haven for those who enjoy the outdoors.

Plenty of challenging bushwalking tracks await the brave and secret swimming holes only known by locals are bonus attractions but I'm not going to tell you where!

As a local living real estate agent I may be biased :) but this is million dollar property down the Valley - without that price tag. If you want to live somewhere with the family and be in an active community and still live in Cairns but not FEEL like you live in Cairns then check the Valley out!

"But it's a long drive to get there....." It just gives you more time to appreciate the rural aspect still prevailing down the Valley so when you get home all the stress is blown away.

And when the sun goes down over the mountain...... "Dragon Mountain" as my daughter calls it.... the locals come out and have a beer with their neighbours in the street........ kids will ride their bikes or scooters in the street and you know that they are safe.......... the sound of a mower or two reverberates along the street and the Valley breeze kicks in under the shadow of the mountain.... and you accidentally leave the garage door up all night but no-one has stolen anything.............

Ah yes, there is nowhere else in FNQ I'd rather be...........!

Redlynch is situated 15kms North West of Cairns and has a population of approx 7,000 and is rapidly growing. It is a 10min drive North to the Beaches, 10mins South to the Cairns Airport and 15mins to the City Centre. It has a large shopping centre and is perfect for families with private and state schools in the immediate area.
