Comaum Street

"Good street for investors"

With many family members of mine living in this street over the past 20 years although there are quite a few unit blocks, they do appear to be easily rented out and have a low vacancy rate.

Great for

  • Close to shops
  • Central suburb & ideal for uni students
  • Popular area for renting

Not great for

  • One end is slightly industrial

Farnham Road

"Farnham Road, Ashford - quality homes close to the CBD"

With many quality character homes in this street, there is also a mixture of industrial zones as well which is a shame. A park/tennis court is located on Farnham Road which is ideal for family BBQ's, or just walking your dog which gives the street a neighbourly spirit.

Great for

  • Park/Tennis Court/BBQ on the street
  • Close to the CBD
  • Walking distance to medical facilities

Not great for

  • Partially Industrial Zoned

West Lakes Boulevard

"Close to public transport and Westfield West Lakes"

Although there are many lovely restaurants and cafes close by opposite Westfield, West Lakes Boulevard is viewed as a main road in West Lakes Shore with traffic conditions getting even busier during Football games at AAMI Stadium.

Great for

  • Close to Westfield West Lakes
  • Conveniently located within walking distance to public transport
  • Short drive to the beach

Not great for

With the trend escalating favourably towards beach side suburbs the West Lakes Green which is that pocket of land adjacent to Grange and the Golf course and directly opposite to Tennyson is considered to be the True Jewel in the Crown by many property speculators.
We own a property in Carnoustie Court and it is a 7 minute walk to Tennyson Beach and less than a minute from the rowing lake which is fully accessible on both sides in particular the Tennyson end for a relaxing walk.
It is also next to the Grange Golf course which also offers accessibility for a walk around the beautiful environs.
The homes as is predominantly the case in West Lakes are well maintained and the neighbourhood is very friendly.
Property prices are still affordable at the moment however as discussed with many property speculators that luxury will be short lived.
Blocks in St Andrews Way which were not near the golf course recently sold for $475K for an area of 325 sqm
A testament that people are already waking up to the great lifestyle that awaits you in this coastal locale. has the The green by far best accessibility and proximity to the beach, largest walking access to the lake and golf course and the closest to Grange and Henley Square than any of the other locales including Delfin Island, Frederick Road/ Lochside Drive and New Development on Brebner Drive.

  • Walking distance to the bus stop
  • Beach side of Military Road

A great place to live with the opportunity of living close to koalas and kangaroos. I'd often walk my dog in the park off Reynell Road, and we'd see plenty of kangaroos, koalas in the trees, rabbits and locals riding their horses. Absolutely superb!
