First Avenue

"Location Location"

First Avenue is made up of two sections and is all low rise 4- 10 unit style accommodation. There is also a holiday resort at one end. Many of the units on the eastern side (on the top level) receive Ocean views and have roof top decks. The Northern end of the street has a modern complex and street appeal with excellent ocean views and national park views north to Peregian Beach. It is an excellent location to invest or retire as it is an easy walk to the shops, cafe and post office.

There are two main access points to the beach via stummers creek or a track further north. Within 5 mins walk you are on Stummers Creek Beach at the northern end of Coolum.

Peregian Beach

"The Village Square Hub"

The heart of Peregian Beach is the village square where the dinning and shopping are known for being individual, unique and creative, and the village vibe is friendly and cosy.

It was once the site of the local community swimming pool in 1964. Today it offers a juice bar, Chinese tea house, restaurant, thai, pizza, Japanese, Fish n Chips bistro, clothing stores, beachy home wares shops, independent book store, florist plus much more!

The Surf Club park hosts the Peregian Originals Music on the first and third Sunday, plus the markets with very thing from home grown vegies, to fancy knitted tea pot covers on offer.

For the green thumbs there is the community garden where people come together to grow fresh organic produce. Even the local cafes provide vegetable scraps for compost! There is a herb garden in town that the local restaurants use and the one of the streets are lined with fruit trees.

The beach is beautiful, with one long stretch of golden sand from Sunshine Beach to Northshore. If looking to holiday or live permanently Peregian Beach is special and a must on the Sunshine Coast to do list!

Love the Peregian Village atmosphere. My oldest 2 were taught to swim in the Peregian pool in the 70's...pity they had to close it down because of new regulations.
Try to visit the Village whenever I'm up the coast...great shops, coffee, eats and atmosphere.

"Mount Coolum Track"

The new track to climb Mt Coolum is most impressive with stairs all the way. The improved track really is excellent and a great way to start the day. The views are super impressive from the top and a must for any visitor to the area.

Oh! Must check it out next time we are there. Don't know how many times I've climbed that mountain, both from the back and the front. Hard work! Stairs would certainly help, especially at this time of life! :-)
