Luck Street

"Another Great Location"

If looking to move into mowbray, Luck street is one of the closer street to everything that Mowbray has to offer. Backing on to the coles supermarket and is generally a quiet street. Doctor surgery, takeaway stores, hotel are all close by and the Launceston cbd is within a 5 minute drive. If considering investing with property in luck street, history shows great returns.

Bank Street

"River Views by the university"

Bank Street runs parallel to the tamar river with great views on the western side of the street. This street is also one of the entrances to the university although is relatively quiet. Roughly 7 blocks from the centre of Mowbray which has most conveniences that you could need, from supermarkets, doctors surgeries, public transport, primary school, secondary school as well as only being a 5 minute drive to the Launceston CBD, Bank street would be a great location for someone looking to invest in property, uni students or simply someone who is after affordability in a good area. mowbray is a growing suburb with a couple of substantial developments for the area over the past few years.

Invermay Rd

"Home Of Aurora Stadium"

Invermay Road is the major road connecting Launceston's CBD to Invermay and Mowbray. A very busy road throughout the day which is steady's down as the night goes on. Throughout Invermay Road in Mowbray you have conveniences such as the mowbray hotel, various pizza shops, kfc and other takeaway stores, public transport is great with buses and taxis always hovering about, doctors surgery, supermarkets, gym, and all very close to child care centres, schools, uni and more. If you dont mind traffic throughout the day, this would be a great location to live as it is a good express route which will save you time in travelling.

Button Street

"Among All Conveniences"

Running from the main road through Mowbray (Invermay Road) directly to Launceston Gramar School. Other than traffic during the school hours, the street is quiet and a good neighbourhood according to majority of people living in the area. Conveniences such as doctors surgery, fast food outlets, primary schools, secondary schools, and university all with in a short walking distance are a huge advantage for anyone living in the street.

Haig street runs 2 blocks away from the Tasmanian university and AMC and directly to the town centre, which consists of everything one could need - from doctors surgery, schools, supermarkets, plus much more whilst also only being a five minute drive from the Launceston CBD. Haig Street can be busy at times, but generally traffic slows down around sunset. Alot of investors have purchased in Haig Street due to great rental returns upon purchase price. Haig Street is very convenient........

Joffre Street

"Suburb of Growth"

If looking to purchase an investment property in Launceston, Mowbray has shown in previous years that rent returns are quite high against purchase price of properties in the area. Joffre street runs from the main street of Mowbray through to the far western side of the suburb and within 3 blocks of the university of Tasmania. Gernerally a quiet street with alot of the properties being owned by investors. joffre street is close to the local doctors surgery, takeaway shops, supermarkets, public transport and a 5 minute drive to the Launceston CBD. There is evidence of growth in the area with the introduction of the second supermarket, target store and future development.

Birdwood Street

"University's Door Step"

An absolute beautiful street on the far N/W side of Mowbray. Beautiful trees cover the nature strips creating privacy for the homes. Great location for investors or students as the university is at the end of the street, keep in mind that there are quite a few apartments being built in the area to accomodate for uni students. Sometimes a busy street due to students travelling to uni either on foot or by vehicle. As far as a street with some activity through out the day, you will be surprised of the privacy there is once you get on the home side of the nature strips. Everything is within walking distance, from supermarkets, public transport, doctors surgery, schools and the Launceston cbd being within a 5 to 10 minute drive.

Winston Street

"Affordable and Convenient"

If Winston Street is an area that you are looking to either purchase a home or rent a home, affordability s the first thing that comes to mind. Generally the homes were built in the mid 1930's through to the late 1940's with the odd exception. The street is quiet and very close to the local doctors surgery, supermarkets, public transport, primary and secondary schools, not to mention the university is just over Invermay Road, which would be a 10 minute walk.

Mowbray

"Great Investment Opportunities"

Being the home of the australian maritime college and University, mowbray generates a lot of activity as one of Launceston's northern Suburbs. Recently a new supermarket has been built, a new target store is under construction and unit development in the area to accommodate for university students. 43% of properties in the mowbray area are owned by investors which the majority of are on the western side of mowbray. Plenty of Takeaway options, and only a five minute drive to the Launceston CBD. There are some quaint streets in the area with a great feel and if looking to invest in property, this are would be worth having a look as far as affordability and returns are concerned.

Esk Street

"Close to Town"

A very busy little street between the hours of 8 to 5:30, with operating business's on Eastern side and residential homes on the western side. One way street on the very southern side of Invermay, giving you very close access to Launcestons Seaport Marina and the CBD. Close to the rivers edge, the university, Aurora Stadium is a short walk away, various parks and walking tracks are also near by. Great location for someone working in town and close to the majority of what Launceston has to offer.

Invermay

"Fantastic Location"

Head North from Launceston's CBD and your first suburb is Invermay, about a 10 minute walk and a couple of minutes in a car. Having worked around the Invermay area for about 18 years, I have found it to be a very pleasant area and would reccomend it to anyone. Aproximately 3100 people reside in the suburb, with afl football games within walking disctance, growth in the area with a new bunnings building being developed alongside its nearer suburb "Mowbray" consisting of a newly constructed second supermarket and a targett building underway. Situated along the rivers edge, walking distance to the seaport marina, parks and much more. Affordable housing is a huge pro for the area and is possibly Launcestons best kept secret... If considering a move to the area, you will not be dissapointed..

With a population of just under 4000 people and approximately 5 minutes to the Launceston CBD, Norwood has all the conveniences that North of Tassie has to offer. The median age of people living in Norwood is 47 years of age which is 10 years above the national average, generally creating a quiet and great location for a family to settle down. just under 80% of the homes in Norwood are either owned or have a mortgage on them. Windermere

"Amazing location"

Windermere and Swan Bay would have to be one of the better locations in the North of the state and not too far away from all the conveniences the North of the state has to offer. Windermere Road winds around the East tamar which makes a drive in the area an absolute delight, starting from the southern end of windermere road with average size house blocks with river frontage and larger parcels of land on the opposing side of the road with amazing views. As the road loops around to Swan Bay, generally the block sizes start at an acre up to 200 acres. Classed as semi rural with absolute peace and quiet. Local doctor in the area, school buses run Daily to Launceston and George Town and it takes approximately 12 minutes to drive to Launceston from swan Bay. If you ever get the opportunity, go to Swan bay entrance of Windermere Road and view the sunset (fantastic) as it drops over the hills and reflects off the river. Looking for something special with a little land just out of town.... I highly recommend Swan Bay and Windermere.
