"Great Local Town"

Over the New Year break I visited here for lunch and a drink at the famous Metung Hotel.
Coming here as a child, it was also nice to reminisce of those past times.

The Metung Hotel was great as always, with exceptionally fresh seafood I enjoyed for dinner. The beer was pretty fresh too.

Definitely recommend visiting Metung if down this way.

Lakes Entrance

"Wonderful & Peaceful"

I visited Lakes Entrance over the New Year break. I found it to be such a wonderful location to visit.

A strip of shops which lasts around 2km that caters for all needs. Local merchandise, food, drink, pubs and a trendy beer garden at "The Servo".

The beach is excellent too. Soft sand that you would expect at any surf beach and it is well looked after too by the local council and surf life savers.

I will definitely be going back.

"So central yet peaceful."

I have sold multiple homes in this lovely pocket of Geelong and it really is continuing to grow in popularity.

Peaceful, central, access to Marshall train station, i can see why so many buyers are flocking to this area.

Barwon Heads Road is being upgraded also which is going to ease traffic and be much more efficient for travel times.

"Living!"

One of the safest and most sort after areas on the cost.

Ocean Grove Marketplace is just around the corner, as well as Kingstone Village Square. Just far enough from the beaches, cafes and shops along The Terrace that its convenient, but you are not stuck in all the hussel and bussel on the long weekends and holidays.

My personal choice for a coffee or beer is the Dunes and view is fantastic.

"Its a Lifestyle"

Most people come to Jan Juc to escape the crowds of beach goers in Torquay and Bells Beach, But it has so much to offer!

Stunning part of the cost line with some of the best real estate you can find in Victoria. Perfect area for young families. Locals are alway happy for a chat and although the town is getting more built up it still has the feel of a coastal town.

The commute to Geelong and Melbourne have become so easy over the last few years as well.

With easy access to all the attractions Phillip Island has to offer it is only becoming more popular with locals and holiday markers alike. Cowes is now home to 3 of the island's best coffee shops and several restaurants I can't get enough of. It sits in easy reach of the surf beaches, national park and Phillip Island Winery.

"Something for everyone"

Abbotsford is one of Melbourne's most underrated suburbs. It gives you great access to everything the city has to offer, while presenting lush walking, biking and even kayaking along the mighty yarra. With some of Melbourne's best coffee roasted and poured in the heart of the suburb, it's a great choice for those who love a latte.

Punt Road

"Long & Direct & Useful"

One of the busier roads in Melbourne however when traveling on Punt Road in non-peak hour, it is highly efficient.

Long, direct and allows access to many other suburbs that flow off it.

If traveling through peak hour on Punt Road, it does get congested and can slow.

Richmond is a cool, hip suburb that offers plenty for locals and visitors.

Whether you like sport, pubs, restaurants, cafes or shops - this suburb offers it all.

Charlemont
21st October 2021

"Growing!"

Charlemont is a suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. At the 2016 Census, Charlemont had a population of 364.

It was gazetted in February 2012 as part of the Armstrong Creek Growth Area, from largely undeveloped land which had formerly been part of Grovedale and Marshall.

The Charlemont Rise residential development in the suburb contains several streets named after characters and locations from the Game of Thrones television series.

A fast growing suburb in both residents and popularity.

St Kilda

"On the Go!"

St. Kilda is the place to be if you are wanting to enjoy a lifestyle that is on the go.

Beaches, backpackers, Luna Park and Acland St and that is just to name what's within 500m from each other.

With plenty of tourists, vicitors and local residnets packing the beaches on a hot day, then strolling to Acland St or Chapel St afterwards, this suburb always offers something for someone.

Extremely pet friendly with local dogs and owners gathering on the Peanut Farm most nights.

Hampton

"Hampton - A Destination Suburb"

Hampton is one of the best locations in Melbourne.

For the residents, they get to enjoy sought after primary schools, high quality restaurants and cafes, access to Hampton trains and buses, complimented by Hampton Beach - all of these within a short walk of each other.

Hampton has people of all ages and when visiting, you can see why the locals never want to leave.

Lamonts Butcher is a favourite of mine and also a favourite of many. I definitely recommend going there for your quality meats.

Truly is a destination suburb.

Torquay
21st October 2021

"High-end Lifestyle!"

Torquay is a seaside town at the east end of the Great Ocean Road coastal drive, southwest of Melbourne, Australia.

It’s known for surf beaches like Bells Beach and Jan Juc Beach. The Surf Coast Walk trail starts at Point Impossible Beach and heads southwest via Point Danger Marine Sanctuary, with its limestone reef and sea slugs.

In town, the Australian National Surfing Museum displays surf memorabilia.

Torquay is undeniably cool. It’s hip, it’s thriving, and it’s one of Australia’s quintessential surf towns. Like Byron Bay is to Sydney, Torquay is to Melbourne. There are so many things to do in Torquay, Australia – even after you are done soaking up the surf culture.

For the beer lovers, Blackman’s Brewery and Bells Beach Brewing are must-do’s to include when you are planning what to do in Torquay. While offering completely different products, the beers produced here are fresh, local, and inspired by the town’s surf culture.

One place on earth where you decide to skip out of the city life, buy that forever home and retire down by one of the worlds best beaches.

Mount Duneed
21st October 2021

"Mount Duneed Ticks All the Boxes"

Mount Duneed is a suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia.
It is divided between the City of Greater Geelong and Surf Coast Shire local government areas. Mount Duneed itself is an extinct volcano and the remains of the crater can be seen in the Mount Duneed Recreation Reserve.

Much of the locality north of Lower Duneed Road is part of the large Armstrong Creek Growth Area, which was opened up for urban development from 2010.

With the gazetting of the suburb Armstrong Creek in February 2012, Mount Duneed's southern boundary between Surf Coast Highway and Horseshoe Bend Road follows the boundary of the Armstrong Creek Urban Growth Area. The area north of Boundary Road, south of the Warrnambool railway line and west of the Surf Coast Highway, formerly part of Grovedale, became part of Mount Duneed.

Mount Duneed offers so much to visitors and local residents. These things include:

Shopping in Waurn Ponds.
Spa retreats.
Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre.
Wine tasting at Mt Duneed Estate.
A day trip to Geelong.
Local markets.
Transport.
