"Too much traffic !!"
Queens Road is great if your in a good apartment. If not, LOOK OUT. It gets very noisy and very busy during week days. There are two/three lanes of traffic going each way. Most weekdays around 9am there is usually a traffic jam, and the trucks start honking. You better hope you have thick windows!
This aside, if you are in a good apartment, there's nothing to worry about. Most places in Queens road overlook the city or Albert Park, and its an excellent place to go for a run. Also, the city is not far away, approx 20 mins on the tram or 5 minutes by car depending on traffic levels. There is also a great pool on Albert Park, not far away either.
The area is mostly safe, but the occasional drunk may pass through.
Overall, I say its a great location - but too much traffic.

Queens Rd
"High End Luxury Apartments and Hotels"
Queens Road runs through some of the most senic sections of downtown Melbourne, going through Albert Park and turning into Queens Way (the busy thoroughfare) at it's end. It's mostly full of the same thing throughout; very fancy, well kept and beautiful luxury condominiums and apartments, with a few nice mansions to fill the gaps. It's not a place that most people would find themselves staying at while on holiday unless they're lucky enough to get a good rate, in which case I'd highly recommend it.
